"The cliff" involves Scarlett, Enright, Bartel, Johnson, Chapman, Selwood, Hawkins, Dangerfield and Stewart just from recent times. Couch, Bairstow and Hocking weren't mugs. The two Ablett's went okay. You nailed Farmer.

You have to go back to the 70s to find anyone but Martin who ranks among most of those players. Riewoldt at a push. Rance if he didn't pull the plug early. Richo was a gun admittedly. It gets a bit sparse after that, we're having to go back to Bartlett and co from your grandparents era.

I thought you'd at least try and put a few of Chapman, Johnson and co ahead of Ablett Junior.

Only way you’d pick Hawkins over Jack in a game is if eating defenders became legal.

But for real though why is it a common trait for Geelong players to have longevity but their peaks aren’t as good. It’s very strange but it makes sense why you value it. You sort of have to to rate them as players at all.

Of course I'm taking the key forward who kicked more goals(Hawkins) and provided more direct goal assists(Hawkins). That should be obvious. The AAs are just the icing on the cake because I know they drive you and some of your ilk up the wall.
