He’s obviously earned the right to make his call but I’m guessing he’ll retire
Used every bit of mental and emotional energy to get this one
About to start a family, it’s time

But through the season - quite a few posters were quite ridiculous in saying that Selwood is cooked - yet he was consistently getting coaches

The bottom line is - the comp isnt that strong - Geel could pinch another flag next year - and i for one want a 5th Cats flag in this era

Now if Selwoods goes around again that will help - its a bit like Brad Ottens he retired at end of 2011 - he could have easily played in 2012 - and if he had of - Geelong probably win the premiership

Dark glasses brigade for the parade - looking similar names to Sunday:
Rhys Stanley (also wearing the premiers t-shirt)
Brad Close
Jed Bews
Jezza Cameron
Gryan Miers
Mitch Duncan
Tommy Stewart
Guthrie Snr & Jnr
SDK
Mark Blicavs
Jack Henry

They're coming very slowly, and not sure all have been in the big screen yet

Yes although 44 GF appearances for 15 premierships since 1897 I suspect is a better record for Collingwood. Or Carlton’s 29 played for 16 premierships. Jag another though will certainly be the most successful since 2000 by a country mile. But most importantly we haven’t sacrificed our soul to do so unlike others.

Just to name a few smelly clubs:
Melb
Carl
Ess
Haw, allegedly.

I like to separate VFL era and AFL era cups into different brackets

As before the AFL era it was more about being a big rich club a lot of the time over a good club but after the AFL era it became a lot harder for teams to buy themselves CUPS.

We are the most successful of the AFL era only really compared by Hawks just by the fact we have almost all ways been in contention.

That won't change in a year- he is irreplaceable, but I think Cam Guthrie, in his own quiet, unassuming, but very effective consistent way, would be a great choice. He is highly respected by all, and started with CS
Stewart is the one you can see him and Joel working very close on gameday

Yes, what this thread is really about is
Who comes after Stewart?
IMO, Jack Henry. Speaks really well, quality player, brave.. My gut feel is he'll be in the leadership group very soon and is my choice for the next in line after the next in line
