not trying to argue for or against banning sparring between players, but the line, in regards to boxing training, with gloves and pads, is surely a joke.

The session has to be taken by a trained professional, what constitutes a trained professional?

Players deliberately punching each other, has a high degree of risk, players punching, punching bags, does not.

Alastair Clarkson says he will consider his options, but he hasn’t ruled out coaching a rival club in 2022 after a chaotic day at Hawthorn, which saw the succession plan with Sam Mitchell blow up in the club’s face.

Hawthorn and its legendary premiership coach Alastair Clarkson will part ways at the end of the season, and potentially sooner.

The decision was reached on Thursday after a meeting between the Hawthorn board and Clarkson’s management in which the two parties agreed that the coach would receive a full payout.

Wow. Well I think it’s a massive chance he’s going to be one of us. I think it’s the right move if he’s hungry enough and wants to really entrench himself as one of the greatest ever to coach. Our project/current state is that opportunity which would prove it.

He apparently told Wright at Collingwood to jam it so we'd have to be in the box seat. The only obstacles would be if wants time out, or AFL intervention to orchestrate a move to coach one of their pet project teams. Could potentially be interested in setting up the team in Tassie also if that gets up.

Happy to post this here as it isn't coming from inside the club.

It is the 'belief' from a former multiple premiership star Hawk that Clarkson will be coaching Carlton next year.

Clarkson is apparently filthy with the Hawks and Carlton are right into him.

He was also of the belief he may not even see out the year with the Hawks.

As I mentioned this is not coming from anyone on Carlton's end and is a prominent Hawks belief of what will happen.
