Clarko having a clean out
Not sure how much it really helps them, they don't have the same retention issues as GC. I guess it gives them another avenue to meet the salary cap floor other than overpaying ordinary players?
It's better than giving them another top 5 pick.
They also have had some long term injuries to players they have hoped to pin their future on (Comben, Perez etc) so I think it makes sense they are asking for a couple of extra spots.
North Melbourne were in back to back PF’s in 2014 and 2015, they won 12 and 10 games in 2018 and 2019 respectively. We won 12 games this year and you’d have to go right back to 2013 to find another season with 10 or more wins. Between 2014 and 2022, NM have won 76 games. Between 2014 and 2022, we have won 60 games.

Are they really asking for assistance? That club doesn’t know what rock bottom is yet.
They should only be given access to State League players like we were.
They created their own mess by delisting in the vicinity of 20+ players and the AFL should not be even consider granting their request of etc=extra list spots. WTF!
NO PP!
North Melbourne has asked the AFL for a larger playing list as part of an assistance package that would also include priority draft picks, reports AFL Media.
The Kangaroos began meeting with the league to bid for help in July, days after they beat Richmond, and have since gone on to claim their second consecutive wooden spoon.
But they’re also keen to be given an increased rookie list, following in the footsteps of the Suns’ 2019 assistance package.
North Melbourne is said to be seeking two extra spots on its list along with draft picks.
But you know what is going to happen don’t you.

I would give it to them…
As long as they move to Tassie and use the local leagues for top ups…
Why should they get extra players.
What about all the other Clubs.
Just trying to get them to Tassie, god knows they will never amount to anything in Victoria with their membership base!
They can use the local comp as feeder for the first 2 seasons. It will give the AFL some much needed credits in the great state of Tasmania…

Why should them getting a PP be conditional on them moving to Tasmania ?
Tassie deserve their own start up team with no previous history or identity.
Not really a big issue I think if they get an end of first round pick (19) and a couple of extra spots on the list.
There will be 'Mutiny'
