Do none of these ****wits have an iota of professionalism in them at all?

Do club presidents truly expect loyalty in the modern AFL??? The same AFL that quietly delists players, sometimes 'thanking them for their services' whilst others not? The same AFL who has encouraged player movement as a bargaining chip to keep the Players Association from getting too rowdy during broadcast rights negotiations? The same AFL in which players have no ceiling on number of clubs that can be played for, in which the players have - at best - around 10ish years of pay and perhaps around 3-4 years at top wage, and most players won't even see that?

He wants these players to risk their future prospects post footy - which will not be as celebrated if they spend massive amounts of time on low coin at the bottom of the ladder - to remain 'Richmond men'?

Maybe it's something about the Australian in all of us, rich to poor, that turns what is quite a successful businessman into a raging fan the second he walks through the club doors; that turns men to beasts, that urges on the white line fever. I suppose I can get behind that some, but boy oh boy is it immensely hypocritical for a business to insist on employee loyalty that won't be reciprocated in kind.

If O'Rourke's speech was after that of Bolton and Baker's, he'd be entitled to a bit of a driveby...they were both horridly embarrassing. Even accounting for the fact most players aren't rocket surgeons, and they may well have been half cut, it shows a complete lack of class by both of them.

Brisbanes odds next year just dropped. As flakey as his goal kicking could be, he could ruck and held off a good defender. Now they'll have Faux Nadal leading the charge... ouch (and Daniher was a good foil for him). I expect Brisbane will reconfigure and go for a more mobile forward line next season.
