No its not, its great. they will stay in denial like the Brown Baggers have.

Essendon have done SFA since 2001 and wont for another 15 years.

Carlton haven't come close since 1999. And they are currently last in s015.

Happy, happy days

Even the big "power house" clubs get brought down by the socialist equalisation afl system. But of coarse you already know this...

Equalisation means everyone has an equal or more equal chance.

Most clubs, including big clubs like Collingwood have played by the rules of equalisation and rebuild, Geelong, Hawks, Eagles, Saints, Dogs, Richmond, have all rebuilt most make at least PF's.

Just cant buy a player and proclaim "we are the best" anymore

But of coarse you already know this.......

Yeah, last time they routed the salary cap and kept their premiership. Quite simply, cheats.

I love your posts, Joffaboy, but is there an opposition team you like/admire?! :p

Did anyone watch BJ on afl360 last night? BJ was less convincing when asked if he will play-on next year. I didn't even know he was considering retiring.

should have put his hand up from day one and said: Look, I take full responsibility for what has happened. The buck stops with me. Although I was under the impression that everything was legal, it may not be the case. In the best interests of the club, the AFL and sport in general, I will step aside as coach until this matter is resolved.

Would have saved some face and respect.

Now all the apologies are hollow words. Care about the players? Bullshit Jimmy. You rolled the dice and screwed the club and the players lives.

Would have if Evans had stayed the course.
Golem Little Hird's disciple then stepped in with his millions thinking they will go legal clueless .
Really would have liked Little to stay a few more years then Armageddon would have come.

Surely BJ has more left in him, only just turned 30 and in good form since his no show in the 110 point thrashing. Understandable if having to defend the rabble at Essendon 24/7 for 3 years has made him jaded and he doesn't want to see out his career in a bottom 4 club, but at the very least he'd be good for another couple of years at premiership contender. Or a young side on the rise...

I gotta say, I love the grab they have of Hird going to Bawwet the he might not understand and might not care and blah blah

I mean, this is a guy who for all intents and purposes cannot look any of the players in the eye and say "we did not inject you with anything harmful to your continued existence" with any sort of solid backing, because he has NFI what he actually signed off on, because those who should know tried to hide it and shredded all the things to keep it hush hush, telling a footy "journalist" that he might not understand context, and might not care for the players.

Is Hird literally braindead?

Equalisation is great isn't it.

Don't you think it's boring how inevitable it all is. You do poorly for several years get the best draft picks, bring in other guys and PRESTO your in the finals!

Then the inevitable decline and then your back to the start
The circle of life

I'd say that BJ tows the line out of respect for his team mates who are after all human beings. That said, I reckon he hates the joint.

It's not out of loyalty, but out his sense of professionalism that he doesn't dump on his current club... IMO

If u wana remember BJ, remember him by the guy who used to punch his chest hard when he was driving the stkilda bus towards finals.
Thats how i remember Beej.
I know its probably zero chance of happening but i'd love it if he came back and finished his career where he belongs. Make no mistake the guy bleeds in red white and black.

The Pies could potentially pay a very high draft pick for Aish. Future 1st rounder should only be used on proven guns IMO. Let them blow a potential top 10 or even pick 6 on Aish. Idiots!
Two things: Added Treloar and a year into young players, Pies should finish top 8 next year. But also Aish was a top 4 pick in a strong year and has showed plenty, easily still worth his draft number imo.

I'm an Aish fan but he hasn't shown much this year. Was good last year. He was a former pick 7, not 4. If I were the pies I'd be happy to part with a pick outside the top dozen....so they'd wanna finish top 6 to get value.
