WARNING TO ALL VISITORS TO THE GEELONG BOARD. You are - for the most part - welcome to discuss the current list management & trading situation at Geelong. However, this is our board, so be respectful of the home board posters & don't inflame arguments (make your points succinctly and move on). And if you're just here to troll, then don't bother or you will be enjoying a holiday

Not sure ..seems a younger version of Jack Steven

I mean far better on field player at present..mental health issues wise i see your point though. But on the cheap id do it.

It's more arrogance than bullying

And looking at how Wells has generally worked in the past, their behaviour if anything is more likely going to see Wells not be rushed to deal with them. Wouldn't be surprised to see Geelong focus on other trades and then sometime next week turn their attention to Cameron

He would be so irked right now I reckon. Could genuinely just see Wells coming out with this next week:

'Whilst we think Jeremy would be a fantastic player for the Cats, the decision to recruit him was under the proviso that he would come via the mechanism of free agency. We believe that the offer of Pick 10 as compensation for a very good player, but one that will turn 28 next year, was a fair one.

As a result, after talks with Jeremy, his manager Alex Mcdonald and the GWS Football Club, we have decided it is in everyone's best interests for Jeremy to remain at the Giants. While there were some options available to us such as trading for Jeremy or selecting him through the draft, ultimately it was mutually decided that this would not be in anyone's best interest, as the draft would not guarantee his transition to his destination of choice in Geelong.

We wish Jeremy all the best, and appreciate his interest in us as a possible destination. We respect that GWS were always within their rights to match, and it was communicated to all parties that it was not a guarantee that Jeremy would make his way to our club during this trade period.

Moving forward, we are very excited to have such a high amount of draft picks to bring in some excellent young talent, and this was a large reason why we were unable to meet the Giant's demands and secure Jeremy as a player for the Geelong Football Club.

Cheers guys

People are definitely joking about Treloar right? I feel for the guy getting pushed out by he is a dead set arsonist in burning it.

The reality is he had every reason to ask for a trade and he hasnt hes handled himself well..its collingwood that look like morons for trying to push him out.

Seems the Crows matching may depend if anyone other than Adelaide have any interest in Crouch

Honestly i reckon crouch will just have to stay as i cant see another vic club stepping up to trade.

And Geelong has already said they felt pick 10 was fair compensation with all things considered

If a trade is done, I don't see Wells really changing from that stance so it would mean 1 first round pick & maybe a fringe player like Narkle or Constable to sweeten things

But I can't see 2 first round picks being shipped to GWS - especially if they are giving the silent treatment

Never seen Geelong go this dark before. It's like covert ops. We're not known for that stance at all, so there's definitely something going on

Geez... GWS got Hogan on the cheap. Maybe he's cooked though.

Think if we can payout Jack Steven without killing the cap, that would be a good idea. I reckon he wasn't up to it.
