Cal Twomney reporting the cats are interested in signing Schlensog again. Would be a good move if we have the available list spot. Be interesting to see if he would be keen to come back. Being able to play in the wafl instead of an interrupted vfl season was a good outcome for him.
Perhaps Eddie might have an influence in being able to bring some aboriginal players to the club.

Well thats an option. They know him and tehy can just list him..meaning we need one less pick which we can trade into something else.

Another deal done. Doesn't really make a difference to our goals.

People saying good deal for both clubs, to be honest after losing Chol and now Coleman-Jones i would say North got the better deal here. This also stops the Chol compensation getting diluted.

That's a great call. It's an area it seems we could get better at when you look at the recent record the club has at retaining Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players. Matthew Stokes, Trav Varcoe, Al Christensen, Steven Motlop, Jamaine Jones, Tim Kelly, Nakia Cockatoo, Nathan Krueger. Apart from Jones, I think all of these players have been traded to other clubs. Very nearly could have added Narkle to the list too. I know the circumstances in each case are very different, but it never hurts to ask how the club can do things better.
Add Djerkoff who went to Bulldogs and Hartmann who went walkies.

Tigers win this by a long way in my opinion.
North had the threat of pre season draft and also didn’t need to trade Tarrant. Meaning Tigers would have to get Tarrant as FA canceling out the Chol compensation.
North round 2 next year could easily be 19-22.
They could and should have pushed harder for a better deal.

Id honestly rather 19 but if we are lucky we might be able to send 22 + F3 for 18 from brisbane (hopefully). Glad to see wells holding out.

That would be absolutely ideal.
Brisbane will need the points next year, could certainly be an option for us.
Also having Fort in the mix means there will be some movement between the clubs forthcoming.

We are tight for list spots so i would prefer him as rookie but someone might sign him first so we might need to DFA him to the senior list now if we really want him (assuming he even wants to come back).

He can actually play 3 spots Ruck/Forward/back.
But his last 2 games weren't worth 2 bob if u ask me.

Yeah i was thinking that they wont use more than 2-3 picks this year but they need future points so we could buy 18 that way i hope. Id like to be in R1.

I can't read tweets on this forum. What does it say?

via Jon Ralph:
‘The Jordan Clark to Freo deal is simple. Geelong wants pick 19. Or pick 22 and Carlton's future third-rounder (which is in Fremantle's possession). They will accept either deal, but not less. Or Clark stays.’

Freo foxing 4 clark, belly trying to be the dan andrews list manager, i hope clarkie can see there is a reason they have never won a flag.
Clark may be better off trying to force his way in at cats, he can do it, freo would have job done by now if they were fair dinkum.
If clark is going to be fringe player at cats, he will be same at dockers if they ever come good, they do look like losers.

CCJ is going to be better for North then Richmond will get out of Tarrant and whoever that 2nd rounder is.

getting something in the range of 19 - 24 and Robbie is very good going for giving up Coleman jones and a third round pick.
North surely could have held out for more. Tigers will have a good draft hand this year and next now.
They are pretty solid operators these days.

Anybody keen on Chad Wingard? At his best he's a super player and he looked to be back to his best late this year. If it's effectively him in for Clark I'd strongly consider it.
Would take him in a fire sale but not under any circumstances for a first rounder which is what they’d want. One of the most overrated players in the league IMO.

Lets not apply that as a measuring stick... or what would we get for Clark.

I was under the believe they were happy with him but he was third behind Sdek and NK. Makes sense and cost little. Rather this than a Talia type. If it doesn't work then we look at otehr options.

Schlong has been ranked between 25-50 (KM had him at #25ish at some stage) so it will take a decent pick.
Towelled up during the finals isn't a good sign ... as we have a few of those types already TC LOL

Yeh actually lots of options in play to ask Brisbane for that pick.

4 pick slide for Fort. Maybe.
Four pick slide for a future 3rd (points for Ashcroft). Maybe.
Four pick slide to move up from 54 to 41 or 34 in this years draft if they want to take 3 picks. Maybe.

Take all 3 and give us 14 :) no chance but it would be nice.
