it is clearly step 1 in something, but Brisbane obviously had us by the balls. not stress by the later picks, we're probably not taking more than 2 to the draft. that future 2nd is annoying.

This would make sense without throwing our future R2 in.

It's really not:

Pick 38
Pick 48 - wouldn't use
Pick 55 - wouldn't use
Future ~34
Future ~70 - wouldn't use

So it's essentially 34 and 38 for 25.

Sure when you discount things we won’t use in the draft you can argue that. They have value as trade currency though.

Mmmm...we still have done something weird here though...in giving up our Future 2nd. I imagine though that the Future 1st will be for Bowes and GC Future 2nd, then Sav goes to Port for 33, then 25 and 33 for Ollie. Use 7 and 58 in this draft

Yeah thats interesting? Because we cant trade future 1st in bowes deal without an afl exemption so that looks interesting.
3 way trade somewhere i reckon.

I think we have learnt in the past that Trade Period needs to be analysed once all deals are concluded - we can't get the full picture by looking at individaul trades

Maybe we swap our future first with GC’s future second (to appease AFL rules)?

This could be only a slight downgrade so a good result.

Maybe although id like to keep the future 1st..it would get absorbed by gc matching a walter bid anyway so itd be better if we can just get them later 2023 points somehow.

Assuming we will not use that 48 + 55 and those picks are dead to us it brings the points back to
=986

So in the end it seems a bit weird but if the Pies have said they'll take #25 for Henry... It's a decent result.

Certainly unsure about that GC F2 though but I gotta assume it's under control.
