Wow what a creative and all encompassing trade that is, it's basically leaving us p25 to trade for Ollie Henry, leaving us two later picks to upgrade Atkins and Close. Amazing effort to pull this off.

Maybe although id like to keep the future 1st..it would get absorbed by gc matching a walter bid anyway so itd be better if we can just get them later 2023 points somehow.

They can always trade back if they want. With that said, the main thing that does, is it gets around the AFL's exemption rules, by making it like we never traded out that other 2nd rounder- so we can then trade our Future 1st.

It's literally the only way any of what we just did makes any sense, haha

Exactly. We aren't Essendon. No way we do that deal with Brisbane, then 20mins later go "oh **** wait no we didn't mean to give one of those picks".

I'm surprised about the futures, not only re Bowes, but it leaves us very thin for picks next year when we are likely going to have to fill quite a few list spots
