Rohan but it's hard to see it being next year which is why I'm not too fussed if a deal can't get done this year. He'll be at Geelong one way or another sooner rather than later. Collingwood are cutting off their nose to spite their face.

Why not do out utmost to get him this year anyway if we can? Sign him up long term. I see his brother as our eventual skipper. Going to another club for a 2 year period could dilute his interest in us

Rohan and Smith are getting on, and Ollie can play in their spots, and may be good enough to force his way in anyway. We don't need to worry about whose spot he takes, just need to get him over the line. You are a lot more relaxed about this which is reassuring, but working with potential recruits on a daily basis, I see a different side. You clearly know him or of him personally which is great.

Move may be bold... but Ollie is going not for money but for lifestyle and his love of the GFC.

You never know till you test the player. If not him then someone ...id certainly offer it to Bergman for 12 months time.

Don’t care about my reputation on a footy forum. Life’s too short to GAF about stuff like that. There’s a few in here who take it all a bit too seriously. If I’m allowed to say that without fear of reprisal.

But I did get a message not long ago suggesting he’ll nominate Geelong. Couple of other clubs have waved the white flag after meeting.

As always Im sure Im not alone in being graetfull for your efforts.

I'm not sure who you think takes stuff to seriously but I have no problem with passion..I do with a lack of repspect for differening opinions becuase mostly this site if about discussion differnt opinions. Unless its a fact ..no one is really right or wrong.

Sounds like all deals are a way off... Maybe Bowes IF he nominates us, will be the first trade done, which might not be ideal, as the other clubs will try negotiate for that pick instead... I suppose we have the correct collateral anyway with Pick 18 and next year's round 1 pick to get the others done anyway.

I think they should get the other 2 done 1st so they don’t come after pick 7.

After what happened during the Cameron trade I just can’t see wells giving up 2 first rounders for Henry and bruhn.

Unless, they do get bowes.

Id think all things being equal it was not going to happen this year... but the Hopper situation has tipped our had a bit towards having a more forward view. If the kid want to come because its what he has always wanted ..then Im sure we will now do what we can but ..there are always two side to it. He is worth a 18 , and maybe a bit on the fringe but not much more. If Collingwood are silly , Geelong can not trade something stupid to get him.

Tom Browne just reported on 7 that Bowes is extremely likely to get to us.

Additionally, Hawkins interviewed about Ollie Henry and seemed confident he will be a Cat.

Does trade period really need to be this long, surely 5 days is long enough. They all wait until the last 1 hour anyway to do most the deals because they run out of games to play.

As of right now he’s a Cat. And I’m not having a bet each way, but if a club throws a Hail Mary type offer then who knows. Always a chance when money is involved.

Hawthorn believe they’re out of the running and he’s joining us.
