It doesn't have to be a big name to make a click bait headline. He made the headline without naming the player.I highly doubt a bloke we picked up in a mid season draft is the one that’s making headlines as Hinkley’s man he’s chasing from Geelong lol. 99.9% of people haven’t even heard of him. Makes much more sense that they’re chasing Close or even Evans
Who says they'd pay a premium? Last pick in the draft type arrangement likelyFrom Port's perspective this makes no sense, why would they pay a premium for such a speculative pick
Comprehension skills struggling here I take it. Nowhere have I written him off at all.
For each BP reference you just show yourself to be a petty fool.
As geelong_crazy26 highlighted on Saturday. So still not learning from your day off
Probably a pick we won't have the list spots to use and at best gets slurped up in some other trade. If we got offered a pick for Williams we'd be laughing.
We got him in the MSD and he hasn't played a game for us. We'd basically be given a free draft pick.
Ceglar is contracted for next season, not very often a player changes clubs on a 1 year deal. I’d say after hardly playing this season he’d be keen to put some games in next year as well.Is there any guarantee Ceglar stays on?? He's only signed for this season, right?
Let's say Cegs does go and then we get rid of Tsap.
Bring in Grundy and we have Grundy #1, Stanley as a backup in case of injury, Conway developing and Blitz as a pinch hitter. Seems like the perfect situation to me.
Hang on.Stick to the topic and leave comment about what happens to other posters out of it.
Think you'd have learnt that by now.
Go Catters
Next year I can see us rotating Stanley and Ceglar based on who the oppo ruckmen was. Stanley for athletic, Ceglar for tap, or both for a Gawn/Jackson combo.Ceglar is contracted for next season, not very often a player changes clubs on a 1 year deal. Not sure if you've been to SA mate, but it doesn't take much to make headlines over there.I highly doubt a bloke we picked up in a mid season draft is the one that’s making headlines as Hinkley’s man he’s chasing from Geelong lol. 99.9% of people haven’t even heard of him. The Cats have been in dialogue with Scott’s management for some time and may have already convinced the 22-year-old dasher to change clubs before Clarkson was appointed.
Scott had the option of joining the Roos and Geelong as a father-son selection in 2018, because his dad, Robert, played more than 100 games for both clubs – but he was also eligible as an Academy pick for Gold Coast.
It’s understood North Melbourne has offered him a multi-year contract to stay.
Scott averaged a career-most 18 disposals in 21 senior appearances in a new defensive role this season but can also slot in on a wing or across half-forward.
He bought a home in Altona, which is only a 50-minute drive to Geelong.
Industry sources believe Scott would be worth a pick in the second or third round, but the latter would be a disappointing result for the Kangaroos after developing him for four years.
The Cats are also linked with contracted Giants midfielder Jacob Hopperand Collingwood ruckman Brodie GrundyPLAYERCARDSTART22Jacob Hopper

Maybe, depends on the pick. I can't see us getting a better player on the flipside of it but maybe one who is positionally closer to b22
We're in for Bailey Scott according to the Herald Sun. The article implies we may already have the deal over the line.

Wed get nothing more than say pick 70ish for evans (or wiliams for that matter) but its about clearing a list spot for trades and draft.

Would rather just keep Tuohy for another year
Yes is he any good? Maybe it’s a two stage plan to make sure his brother nominates us.Not a fan of Scott.
Hasn't he got a brother eligible as Father/Son this year?
Agree. He had his chance.Would rather just keep Tuohy for another year
