I wonder what the trading price will be for Bailey Scott.
If it's anything after our Pick 46, then it's worth it.
NM have a terrible draft hand after Pick 1. So who knows, they will probably offload if the rumours are true.
Just have a funny feeling we ain't really linked.
I wasn't big on Henry in his draft year and I wouldn't go all out on him now. Those 3rd forwards are always tricky. He has AFL level talent for sure but it can be hard to find a place for them. He has basically been given the Menzel treatment by the Pies due to lack of defensive pressure.
Well, I’d play Henry every game (or say 20 games) in 2023. Most of those at Rohan’s expense and the balance covering injuries.
I reckon he's locked and loaded. I have no Intel and frankly no idea, but the fact he hasn't re-signed in the whole two years he's been there is quite telling IMO.
I reckon he's gone.
I wasn’t suggesting Henry should be prioritised over other trades. But if it falls into place - actually unlikely IMO - then I would take it.Is that really as much as an upgrade to the 22 as replacing selwood (retirement) with an inside mid though?
21 gamesHow many games this year?
Best 22 spot is kind of irrelevant. The best 22 players never all play, in most weeks players 25-30 on the list are getting games.I actually reckon it's true. I don't think we have a b22 spot for him
I wouldn’t call Tuohy “speedy”, and he is not really a defender most games., is Tuohy no longer on the list...
From an article regarding McKenna:
Geelong is one club weighing up the line breaking backman, while he would also fill a need at the Brisbane Lions.
Under list bosses Stephen Wells and Andrew Mackie, the Cats have struck gold on some mature-age players over the past two decades including this year’s All-Australian revelation Tyson Stengle.
Geelong already has one speedy Irish defender in Mark O’Connor, but the Cats have been looking at ways to add more pace and run into their side.
I think JDG is going to stay at the Pies.Geelong are linked with lots of players as usual these days. But this is the AFL not Pokemon and gotta get 'em all does not apply because its impossible. I like a best available approach to recruting even if it does not give us a perfectly ballanced list, what ever the hell that is! But on that we have a lot of guys in their 30ies so my priority is guys who are in their 20ies who can help cover the experiance and tallent gaps that are coming. So on the names rumoured to be in play I like
J Hopper - Yes we need his type. Trade required.
T Bruhn - Nice to have. There are others I want more. Trade required.
O Henry - I think he makes it and eventually takes Rohan's spot. I would go after him hard. Trade required.
B Grundy - I think we covered his position last year. He is a fine player but even with the Pies subsidy he is too expensive given the other Rucks we are commited to and the trade that would be necessary. Trade Required
J De Goey - Yes please. Game changer and we have the support network to keep him on the rails. FREE AGENT
C McKenna - Was a good player before. We have the support to make Geelong an idea choice for him. FREE AGENT (DFA)
B Scott - We love a father son. He is young runs hard and will look a lot better in a better side. But I think we just dont have a list spot for him. Trade required.
In my dream senario, the newly crowned premiers land Hopper and Henry in trades. Pick up De Goey and McKenna as free agents and enter the draft in round 3.
In reality, I will settle for the Premiership and our current draft hand! But I think the real answer is somewhere between the 2.
Go Cats
Please Kenny, make Grundy an offer he can’t refuseThe 2 biggest players prob on the move are Grundy and Dunkley.
Grundy meeting with Kenny at port.
I think well we will see alot of players move clubs this year.

If I could make a prediction now I'd say, with confidence, Bruhn will not be at Geelong next year.Quality post Phill Hendo
God its good to be seen as a destination club, no matter what anybody tells you i'd rather be in our position every year that try and bottom out for picks. If i was going to rank them I what I think we can do id probably go this way
1. J. Hopper - We need him and by the sounds of things he wants us - Wellsy Get it done
2. O. Henry - Sounds as if we might be able to get Ollie given his reluctance to sign with the pies and St. Marys connection
3. T. Bruhn - Feel as if Tanner could be anything given hes played in his correct position
4. B. Scott - Given what has been written looks like the club maybe a fair way down the track with this one with Bailey ready to come across from North
5. B. Grundy - Would love to have him if we can force Collingwood into a trade that benefits the GFC then Why Not
6. J Degoey - The Bonus of all Bonuses if he decided the GFC was his destination
7. C. McKenna - No thanks
I only think it's relevant because he would be unlikely to ask for a trade to our vfl sideBest 22 spot is kind of irrelevant. The best 22 players never all play, in most weeks players 25-30 on the list are getting games.
He would be a fixture in our forward line for the next 10 years, and we would find a way to play him almost every game next year if he joined us.
If I could only choose 1 player to recruit this offseason Ollie Henry would probably be it. I would suggest that if he is available at all we will be into him in a big way.
I guess my point is that if he wanted to come to us, we would see it as an opportunity to bring in a player that could easily play 200 games for the club in a position on the ground that is always hard to fill.I only think it's relevant because he would be unlikely to ask for a trade to our vfl side
Tuohy was our second fastest runner behind Rohan in 2020 but dropped out of the top 5 last year.I wouldn’t call Tuohy “speedy”, and he is not really a defender most games.
He is still a great contributor, but not a “speedy Irish defender”
If I could make a prediction now I'd say, with confidence, Bruhn will not be at Geelong next year.
I'm happy to be wrong because I think he has some serious talent.
I can see how it's good for us, but fewer games in the afl would not be good for him.I guess my point is that if he wanted to come to us, we would see it as an opportunity to bring in a player that could easily play 200 games for the club in a position on the ground that is always hard to fill.
If he wanted to come now, we would find a way to get him games, and I reckon we would be happy with the results. I can’t see him playing a lot of VFL for us If he came to the club now.
I said that a while ago.Sen mentioning Bruhn to the Hawks might be on
