Not that I'm a huge Bruhn fan, but It's nice that North has been linked to him.

North have the first pick in the preseason draft and it could make GWS move him on a bit cheaper/faster if they think he is a legitimate chance to walk through to the PSD and them be left with nothing for him.

In saying that, It's not like GWS is gonna be short on draft picks this year so maybe they will make a stand with Bruhn.

Yes. Once Giants trade Hopper, TT and Bruhn, they will have a massive hand of picks, and good ones.

Anyone here heard of a young player Lachie Cowan?

I've watched some NAB this year but haven't seen him.

Apparently we're keen.
Tassie boy, and highly rated. We’re also really keen on a bottom Ager from the same nab team.

Not sure Grundy is the only ruck target.

Think there’s lots of questions being asked in more of a Lygon St direction. Tried last year and asking the same questions this year.

I didn’t see the info you had on GRUNDY from the other day. Anything you can share?

I’m laying low on that. Stuck my head up a few times in here and passed on info shared with me, then the keyboard warriors stuck it to me.

Let’s just say the Grundy matter will be clearer now that Melb are out. It’s between us and them, and the longer it goes I think we’re better placed if he doesn’t now name Melb. But as we saw with Hopper, these deals take lots of twists and turns.

But god help you if you pass on what you’re told and we don’t get a deal done.

Would be a poor result imo. I'm convinced we need a ready-made mid in his prime during this trade period. If it's not Hopper it needs to be someone else, even if it means paying a little bit overs.

What makes you say that?

We probably would have drafted at least henry if not bruhn if we had an extra R1 that year so on some levels it makes sense that we would chase them now.

ok, thanks for that. And just for the record there are plenty like me that really only come here for any info that might be floating about. I really only scan the general comments on this forum so any info is greatly received. Don’t let ‘em get ya down mate, it’s much appreciated.

We still have Parfitt in reserve he'll be 25 next year

And stephens and knevitt should be better after another pre season.

But i do think we will trade for a mid somewhere if we dont get bruhn.

Flag or no flag this year, I’m keen to see Selwood go around again. 65% Joel has proven every bit as good if not better than all these blokes being spoken of….and that’s without the leadership stuff that all of them together cannot compete with.

Look, I'd be fine with us bringing in Tanner and Ollie, but for a variety of reasons - the likely retirement of Selwood, the fact that Danger is now a 60%-75% TOG player rather than the 80%-90% TOG player he used to be, Atkins not being a four quarter player yet, Guthrie and Blicavs both 30+ now, Parfitt still being only so-so, Knevitt and Stephens being nowhere near ready, etc - we're far more in need of a prime age midfielder than we are of a kid with potential like Bruhn or a third forward like Henry.

I'd be ok with Selwood playing a dozen or so games next year.

Are we still going for Grundy or re-looking at him after missing Hopper?

Or have we pulled out entirely?

I think if we’re relying on CS or Knevitt it only increases the need to chase for a ready made mid.
Stephens need to reach 50 games. The kid can play. The reality is he hasn't played much football in the last 4 years.

Give him time.

Grundy is going to Melb

Wants to stay in Melbourne.

Seems strange if he wants to get back to his AA best that he would go to a club where he cant be no 1 ruck.
I also dont understand from.melbs perspective why they would want to tie up that much cap in 2 rucks when their fwd line is pox.

Bad trade for both parties imo.

It doesn't make much sense
