The AFL introduced free agency at the end of the 2012 season, giving players another vehicle where they can transfer from one club to another. Free agency is a common form of player movement in major football and sporting codes around the world.

Free Agency Opens: Friday October 4 at 9.00am
Free Agency Closes: Friday October 11 at 5.00pm

All I heard however was phrases like "shutting it down" and "won't be traded under any circumstances. This may seem like a show of support, but really it gives of this kind of vibe

That might be true for BigFooty in general… but I think what some posters are saying in support of me - which I am grateful of - is I’ve got the runs on the board.

If you’ve followed my intel I stuck with us having interest in Oliver went it was “put to bed” months ago. I also shared that I had info Oliver was happy to stay in spite of our interest. And then the news came…. I know a lot were talking about Smith for a long time. But once the decision was made by him I posted here and a few days later I think Edmund broke the news and then Clark. I was onto Davies I think a five days to a week before that was broken. The one I missed in fairness was Jack Martin. Somebody heard about that from a hairdresser and it beat me. But I’m also not on the payroll on getting fed facts. I am just constantly chatting to people in the know and relay what they say I can. And I’m not cryptic, I don’t try to hedge my bets. I say it how I hear it.

So, if you think I’m punting and guessing these things, plucking them from thing air, not only is it pretty deep cynicism and skepticism, I feel as though my luck is too good to refuse a trip the roulette wheel. As raffling out these things and getting them right at my strike rate is near impossible.

But end of the day, you choose to believe what you want and I’ll just keep doing my thing over here.

I read it too. Last year Melbourne were shopping around for a club to take Oliver. Geelong was interested + same thing, he’s staying at Melbourne.

This year Oliver was told to look for another club. Pert was peddling him again, this time behind his back. Then I think it was Oliver’s manager who rang Geelong, at Melbourne’s behest. Apparently Oliver only knew on Monday. You’d reckon the manager would discuss it with Oliver? Oliver met with Geelong on Tuesday.

Melbourne look very dodgy + dishonest, copping huge flack.

Geelong looked professional, warmly welcomed Oliver, Hocking + Mackie meeting, Stanley’s farm, players speaking with him. Result was Geelong gave everyone the warm + fuzzy feeling.

Melbourne’s shit show exploded again.

The huge Olive love-in today is damage control. It’s too late, there’s still a huge cluster**** internally.
