Excellent:
- Jakey Lever's first AFL goal. How good can he become?:eek::eek:

Good:
- Eddie, Jenkins, Lairdy, Talia all just kept on chugging. Hopefully at least 2 of them will be AA.
- Lyons and Atkins are getting better at accumulating. I thought that was the Rat's best game for a month or so, his disposal and evasiveness were much improved.
- Mackay, Douglas, Thommo all put in pretty solid performances. God I wish Mackay played like that more often. Apart from one absolute stinker of a kick I thought he was very good.
- The intensity was definitely there, we just lacked a touch of class at times
- Crouch Sr had another strong game. His ability to stand up through tackles really shone through.
- Crouch Jr was solid, though unspectacular. He tackled pretty well.

Bad:
- Sloane was held pretty well
- Various defenders had their colours lowered by Walters
- We didn't absolutely smash them
- ROB didn't really follow up his solid debut
- Set shot kicking (McGovern and Charlie have serious issues in front of goal)
- Lynch's disposal was a tad off, but he wasn't terrible. Same with Lyons and Smith.

Ugly:
- Not that much. Disappointing last quarter but nothing too traumatic.

Good:

72 point win in perth is great no matter how you look at it. Was hot conditions and the boys ran it out well. Can't ask for that. Our running patterns looked very good. Again it was noticeable the forwards leading up when the over the top didn't work. So flexible we will be hard to stop.

Bad:

scrappy at times but I think it was the hot weather and playing into the sun.

Ugly:

Ross Lyon's tactics. Just ruins football and sucks the life out of the enjoyment of football. Don't know how Freo players stomach it.

Not bad at all.

Definetly concerned about Gov come finals time, needs to impact the game more against quality opposition. I'd almost be willing to get an extra midfielder into the side as we have enough scoring power.

Everyone else chipped in their bit, although Brown needs to tighten up a bit on the defensive game. Even DMac had a good day.

Yes he actually did

Im serious.

Bad:
Lynch moving off his mark after marking it, being called play on and then rushing a kick.
Lynch attempting to kick between two playing in front of him instead of giving the ball over to a team mate to his side.

I think he is always thinking about what he is going to do next and not on what he is actually doing at the time.

I think that could be part of it. Surely he has boot/feet issues though, having been practicing this art for so long now.
I swear ive witnessed him slip over whilst standing bolt upright and not even moving before.

The Good:
- Well there's a reasonable amount of it starting with 72 point win against Freo at home, if I were offered that before match I'd have taken it anytime.
- Thought Atkins after some poor weeks was much better, still perhaps holds on a bit long at times but was better today.
- Douglas was pretty good today, best match in some time.
- Overall team performance was solid especially since I felt Sloane was well beneath his best. It's always nice to see that we can get things done without relying on him to get us there. Even Mackay was good, yes that will annoy plenty and kind of annoys me too since it'll ensure he holds his spot but you couldn't drop him after today if its being done based on form.
- Eddie Betts, needs nothing further.

The Bad:
- Mainly just our sloppy team defense allowing Fremantle to score too much. I would have preferred we score a bit less but kept them to lower score as the leaking of goals really worries me against better sides who can control our scoring.
- Small forwards seem to be our most vulnerable point, I wonder sometimes if we shouldn't try train Charlie Cameron to do a shut down job on some of them as he has the speed to go with the really quick & crafty ones? I like him as an attacking weapon but he might have in some matches more value preventing some of these easy leaked goals?

The Ugly:
Last quarter was very poor though I guess considering it was hot, we are facing a 6 day turn around before what could be a fiery clash with Port it's probably not so bad when you put it into perspective and think that it's more important just to get through unscathed.

I just wish Atkins wasn't so slow and sloppy with his disposal. We've seen him get pinged every week and would've been caught HTB a few times tonight if we weren't playing such a terrible side. Needs to stop trying to be so cute, it won't (and hasn't) worked against the better teams.
