My guess is Fogarty has a fogged-up-knee that's really affecting his game adversely.

Doesn't look like he is going to be ble to play through the injury so we my as well rest him for a few weeks

Tex and Sloane would be on around 1.6m between them. That can be used to bring in an elite mid and elite KPD or KPF. We don't need another small forward. The difference in the game today was when we kicked it forward we had no one to mark it and they had Cameron. That was the major difference in the game plus their bigger bodies.

We definitely need more bounce off half back IMO as well

It’s not all surprising we’ve found the pressure on ball alot more difficult against pies and cats

Just occurred to me than in 2021 and 2022, we played better in the last 8 rounds or so which is organic improvement in such a young side + better understanding of what's required etc.
If we can improve by 10% or so by season's end (last 8 games) we'll give the better sides more of a shake than today.

We have a few gaps. We should use our future first this year to get some of the missing pieces in through the trade and or draft asap. The club will need to move out salary and be fairly ruthless this year with some of the senior brigade.

Rankine also barely ever goes to the bench, spent a whopping 6 mins on the bench. Must have a serious tank on him.

Personally i think 7th is very kind.

I think we will continue to slide. Hopefully we will stay injury free but we are more a 10th to 12th team. We are a long way off being top 8 team.

I like all the positivity but we were fair way off winning today.

The selfishness had nothing to do with the free. Was just stating a fact that his selfishness is ****ing annoying. Keays had another play near the 50 line where he just needed to give an automatic release and what do you know he hung onto it hero style. He's not a team player.

Not something I take notice off with him , tends to do unselfish things alot of the time eg like chasing blokes and covering other blokes opponents because they’re not

I’ll admit he does stupid / impulsive things that lack composure

Disagree with that , he does alot of team things

Most of his errors are due to lack of talent or lack of composure or poor decision making

Rankine’s work rate is enormous

No wonder he was spent on that running goal attempt

Still would like to see 5 mins a quarter in midfield

Getting involved in FA and Trade period important for us and where we are at I think

We need to start prioritising our forward line around Fog and RT. It's a massive concern that Tex is seemingly still our primary go to in the forward line.

It's time for Tex to be the cream on top, and not the cake.

Duncan looked like he was in a full body spasm chasing , we are harsh to judge sometimes

Thought rankine was pretty dangerous

Loved his work up the ground today, provided a good outlet in pressure situations and usually just makes good decisions.

Too many talls in the backline with Butts, Murray, Doedee, Worrell, Hinge. Especially if we come up against only one KPD in which case we could drop one of our key backs and either Worrell or Doedee. I see Worrell only coming in for Doedee or Hinge if he doesn't come in for an injury. Unless you play Hinge up on the wing in Sholls spot and then bring Worrell in for Hinge.

This is a better team balance. Agree with the Worrell, Hinge, Sholl plan.
Sholl has been good but I'm not seeing enough offensive benefit and defensively, he's only ever likely to be adequate at best.
