I believe in the English Premier League it's about 10 games? Loonerty probably knows better than I though.
Yes but unlike this, the championship isn't conclusively won in a single specific game.

Also a game limit is a nonsense. What if a player plays one game that is a blinder and that was instrumental in the season?

The premiership is won on the day and the fielded team should be enshrined. Perhaps the AFL should have a second tier acknowledgement for the rest of the list who played that season, and for the assistant coaches etc, but let's not dilute the power of not only the Grand Final itself but those who are crowned on the dias.

Just do rings, for everyone involved in it, either coaching or playing list. You’re only really a premiership player if you play on the day though, can’t think of many players wanting a medal when they didn’t play. Do you think max Holmes feels any better if he has a medal, he wasn’t apart of the 23 that got to run out there, that’s the worst part.
Did I say give a medal to everyone ?

I think you might find he's agreeing with you by saying players who don't play don't want medals anyway.

Yeah, when I originally proposed “variation of the medallion”, this is exactly what I was thinking of.

I’d take a ring over a medal any day. Players never wear it again once the week blows over.
I’m not sure the idea of having a premiership ring to wear everywhere for life is incredible either, tbh. Very showy.

he means a premiership dick ring, obviously. very discreet.

Good article about why it should always be a day Grand Final:

I wouldn't care if they started it at 3.30, but no later than that. Having it in the middle of the day is what makes a big day of it. Lunch and dinner with everyone, backyard cricket at half time. If it's at night time then instead of the entire day revolving around AFL, where kids get indoctrinated with Melbourne's footy mad culture, people will do other things and then watch half the game at night before falling asleep at 3/4 time, like they do for every other game of the year. It takes away what makes it special.

One of the best things a couple of years ago was the Killers' post-match concert, which they didn't bother doing any post-match entertainment this year. I guess they put all the cash into pre-game entertainment? But it really wouldn't be stupid if the city of Melbourne put together a public concert in fed square after the game.

I'm also not convinced about the validity of the viewing numbers. We know lots of people rely on streaming, and we know that the streaming service was down. They're saying they only got 95,000 viewers via streaming for the grand final – what was that number in previous years, or for a normal game? Surely more than 95k.
