Surely Cleary in for McDonald if he doesn't get up ?
Cleary looked like he could go through the middle a few times in the games he played which could allow Heeney and Warner to drift forward. Good speed and would keep the Brisbane defence honest if played up forward.
Ladhams could be 2nd ruck and allow McLean to just play forward all game. Ladhams is not a good forward (neither is Grundy) so a two ruck set up isn't going to add anything.
Francis when he has been switched around and played forward looked ok and made a few grabs but his goal kicking is horrible , for me only comes in if a defender goes out.

If we're going completely unchanged and Logan is a late out, yeah Cleary in as sub for me.

If we weren't playing Fox down back in the 22, then he comes into the 22 as a defensive forward and Parker becomes a bit more of a target. When Parker goes into the mids, as he would if he's no longer minding a defender like last week, then Heeney can move forward.

Cleary is a short arse - we need another tall down the line which Logan provides.

I've rolled my ankle badly. Needed crutches for the first week and then I could walk on it. There were definitely times where I felt I could get back to running but decided to rest a little longer as I'm not a pro athlete.

Leading into the Grand Final I expect they'll inject to numb the pain on the day and he'll play out without problem.

If it was a regular H&A they'd probably give him the week off, but I cannot see this being a major problem.

Also it's not his kicking leg
I badly sprained my ankle a few years back. I was running 5-10km, 3-4 times a week at about a 4 minute / km pace. I did intense physio but couldn't run more than a km without having to stop due to pain for a couple of months. I then got a steroid / local injection into the joint and it was amazing for about a week. Pain free, smashing out 5km again but then pain returned with a vengeance. Ended up having an arthroscope to clean it up and have subsequently run a couple of marathons on the ankle.

I'd say McDonald would be getting the same injection in the joint today, will be good to go tomorrow. But he will know about it next week again but by then, hopefully we will be premiers.

I think we're better off having say Fox down there to get the ball to ground for him, Papley, Parker, Campbell etc with McLean, Hayward, Amartey pushing up as outlets... than going in with Ladhams.

Ladhams was decent as a forward late season in the VFL but I think Fox is a more proven defensive forward than Ladhams is a goalkicker/outlet.

I think the Logan talk is a bit OTT.

Today’s captains run was just a VERY light session. Nothing more than a few stretches, a bit of a passing drill and some casual shots at goal.

Ladhams was kicking torps for heavens sake.

Logan wasn’t going to achieve anything by doing much. Plenty of players were just wandering around casually.

There won't be a late change unless its an actual injury from here in. Not sure why we're debating who comes in now. It's done. If Mitch Cleary tweeted there's going to be a huge downpour tomorrow prior to the game would you be telling everyone to bring an umbrella or would you just look at the weather?

If people pose the question, no harm in discussing it.

It's not like we're calling Logan's family to cancel their flights.

Or faxing Reid that a spot might open up.

I did my ankle badly playing basketball in Japan.

Not knowing the medical system, or the language I took my insurance details down to the nearest hospital and waited for over an hour in the waiting room.

It was only when seeing a doctor (who spoke some English) in the rooms that I found out all the hospitals in Japan are like specialist clinics and I'd been sitting in a gynaecology hospital for the last 90 minutes.

The question shouldn't be posed though. Look at what he wrote and what happened. Logan did goal kicking and not much else. What do you expect him to do? Some of the players were walking around the oval. Why aren't we questioning their involvement now. Seems only fair doesn't it? Papley was limping around last week, was he one of them? Campbell too, was he one of them? Grundy has been sore for weeks, was he one of them?
It was a tweet to get more people to tune into Mitch Cleary and the 7 news tonight, to get the latest on what's happening inside the 2 grand final teams, nothing more, nothing less.

Well you'll have to take it up with Cleary.

Don't see the harm in discussing it though. People can skip the posts.

Swans fans, can you remember which captain dropped the cup first in 2022?
Who gives ashite about that rubbish, win on Saturday and you can hold the cup for as long as you like.

People can discuss whatever they want. Just think it's weird to fall for what is a beat up and once people allude to it they want to double down and ignore facts. As I said, weird. And just as you can talk about a non-story, I too can comment that it's weird supporters that KNOW what's going on can be put on tilt so easily and not call out the BS, for the love of drama it would seem.

I also don't believe his sprain was all that bad. He was walking after the Port game unaided.

Had it been a real sprain I imagine he'd be in too much pain to put any pressure on after it cooled down

I barely consume any footy media, outside some of the stuff that gets linked here, match reports etc, and draft/trade news. Most commentators know very little about us. I've even debunked a few commentators this week.

Just responded to someone posing the question, which is fine for them to do, however unlikely a change will be.
