I get it's a gf with well matched teams, but we've been top all year, had an easier run last week, extra days rest, not quite so beaten up.

Hope Fox coms into the starting team as a defender, feels like there's a few good matchups for him. Campbell can have a big impact as sub, where as Fox really feels more a 'medical' type sub who's impact is more versatility if we get an injury. Although I suspect we'll go in exactly the same as last week.

As others have said, I too would like to test out Payne's fitness and try and isolate him with some green grass infront of whoever he's on out of Amartey/McLean (and less likely McDonald). We were very good at isolating last week, if Parker/McDonald can keep Andrews busy and not coming in 3rd man there's maybe a little exploit there with Payne, we'd be remiss to at least not try and ask the question for a patch and see if it's there.

They'll try and exploit our slow starts for sure to test out if there's mental demons, on the flipside we need to try and work the matchups and test how fit a few of there players really are....not in a faux tough push and shove way, in a gut running & one on one contests way. They might be fine and there's nothing in it but outside looking in they do seem a bit more banged up than us.

FWIW the main board poll is almost 50/50 with the tips. Swans with their beaks in front.

I'm normally a pessimist but I reckon we win it by 4 straight kicks.

Which means a 4 point win because we’ll miss all four of those kicks.

Even if Brisbane didn't have players under injury clouds... this is a team that finished outside the top four, that we were ahead of on the ladder for the entire season. Our best will beat them - no more failing to produce it when it matters. Time to deliver.

We don’t want a record of being the only team to lose a grand final to a team outside of the top 4 (twice!).

Build a lead by 1/2 time and keep them down.

Have been confident since pre season since talking to a high insider , that we were not ready in 22 and set ourselves for 24/25 and everything else that was said has come true .
In 96 i was that nervous i wiped myself out after the parade , have just got the confidence that this could be our gretest most even team in history !

Bedford the granddaddy of grand final nerves.
