You don't remember our AFLX premiership?

One of the highlights of my Sydney-attending career. By which I mean it and 2009 and now 2022 is about it.
Actually I had 100% forgotten that AFLX had ever existed :)

Was folling the Lions good training for following GWS or was both of us sucking in tandem just a really bad combo?

Taylor Adams confirmed to miss the GF.

I'm wondering what sort of shape Moore is in. Certainly hasn't been the force that gained him an AA.

The other one is Daicos. 2nd up after a few weeks off into a GF isn't ideal though he did go ok in the last quarter last week.

They've also got 2 logs in Cox and Cameron who when the ball hits the deck are as good as useless.

Yes I'm talking myself into it aren't I.

I'm very good at seeing silver linings.

Moore’s ankle was a balloon on Friday from a roll. He will play but that’s going to be a tad uncomfortable or he just doesn’t feel it because it’s been Jabbed

There are going to be players going into the GF from both teams with injury issues but you don't want it to be your key players.

McCarthy did a great job shutting down Naicos in round 4 when he was playing off half back - only had the 11 disposals at half time. They pushed him up into the middle after half time and he ran around collecting 27 disposals in a half.

I like the McCarthy match up again if he starts off half back. If we moves into the middle, I wonder if we still employ a tag or focus more on winning the contested ball and limit the ball getting to him on the outside. If Dunkley can get on top of De Goey and with Adams out, there's a lot of reliance on the likes of Mitchell to win the contested ball inside.

Honestly I wouldn't worry about Daicos outside of hitting him with physicality when he gets the ball. Stop De Goey and we will go a long way to beating the Pies.

Yeah I think the best way to stop him is to stop the ball getting to him. The Pies midfield stood up pretty well to the strength of the GWS midfield on Friday, largely thanks to De Goey. Dunkley vs De Goey is going to be a ripping match up.
