Isnt the mining boom starting to fade?Whatever takes your fancy, my serious issues are I like nice hot weather with miles and miles of beautiful white ocean beaches, oh and no drive by shootings
I'm originally from Melbourne and love it there as well but as you get older the dry Perth climate is great.
As for your growth falling like a rock comment, not sure where you get that from, did you do a personal head count because according to the Bureau of Statistics
The population of Australia's capital cities grew by 10.2% from 2007 to 2012, faster than the rest of Australia (6.8%). Greater Perth had the fastest growth of all capital cities at 17%, ahead of Greater Darwin (13%) and Greater Brisbane (12%). The slowest growth was in Greater Hobart (5.0%).
All states and territories recorded positive population growth in the year ended 31 March 2013. Western Australia continued to record the fastest growth rate of all states and territories at 3.4%. Tasmania recorded the slowest growth rate at 0.1%.
