Im not sure if broken the scale is right. O'Meara's first 2 years where insanely good when you consider the Suns were even worse than the Roos are.

Daicos had better, and Sheezel is even better but they werent off the chart better. If O'Meara hadnt done his knee there is every chance we'd have "O'Meara - Can he be the GOAT?" as a thread with many saying "yes".

It's a bit disappointing for North that some of there other high picks from the last couple of years, namely Wardlaw, won't be much much good.

With two of the three favourites for the rising star this year I think they will do just fine

O'Meara was one of those in that period were there all these high talents that were flying then there was a leg injury and then they never got back to the same heights as pre injury. Rowell is starting to get back there but his first few games looked stellar and also Josh Kelly pre-injury was proper super.

JOM was also super mature in his build early on, and didn’t seem to progress much after that

That’s why Sheezel has such a high ceiling, his body is still very underdeveloped (about where you’d expect a 2nd year to be) so there is so much scope for improvement

LDU was average for years and now he is seriously paying dividends for the Roos, he is a legit top liner

LDU is a bit like Cripps, but you would say Cripps had a bit of an easier introduction into AFL football with a midfield that had Judd, Gibbs and Murphy for a few years before Cripps had to fully take over.

LDU had about 1 or 2 few seasons with Higgins, Jacobs, Ziebell (as a mid) and Cunnington before he was thrown in with Jed Anderson, Simpkin and ..........

Sheez is having a stellar time in a team that is not going too well. Would be amazing to see what he would be like already if he was in a side that has incredible development like Geelong.

Best first year player then best second year player then busts his knee in the pre-season. He didnt progress because he had an injury which ends many careers.
