You know the sort of players. Fifty games played and showing absolutly no signs of improvement,guts,co-ordination or superstardom (or even close). The type of player that had you clicking your heels after a dozen odd matches and dreaming of great things to come. Have you got a top 20 draft pick, who's tall,is supposed to be athletic and should be by now, dominating some key posistion for your side...but is basically looking like he is turning into a dud. Trade worthy, but nevertheless, pretty much useless.

The type of player that makes you want to pull your hair out and scream and write letters to the coach..and get on BF and find out if everyone else thinks he's crap..

had.....

michael gardiner

i can only imagine how much worse things would have been if he was still around...

Wasnt he a top 10 draft pick?

Yes,he was Roo. Thats what makes it worse. I finally did my block on Anzac day with him. 50 games!!! 50 painfull games...wating for that break through match, like what Patrick Ryder is doing atm.

Who would have him?

Hey,at least you got a fair few fantastic, memorable games from him.

Kepler should be shown 100 hours of Dean Cox playing and learn how to move to where the ball is and develop a quick thinking brain that can be capable of directing a football straight to a team mate.

Gardiner is no match for KB. He was in a GF before he reached 50 games, wasn't he?

hey gardiner dominated for a while, something kepler will never do
and yeah sheeds better make up his mind, one day hes a KPP defender, next hes a wingman, next hes been put in the side to replace a ruckman

The fact that sheedy hasn't given him a set position to work on doesn't really help his situation.

I think you've have been reading the Bomber board too much Dipper and starting to believe the excuses we EFC supporters are telling ourselves.

He hasn't got a set position because they have already played him in just about every position except rover and he still can't play well...anywhere!

His skills are suspect when under pressure. Can't have that...not after 50 games.

top 10 pick my a----

Andrew Krakouer :thumbsu:

Close to 100 games of pure crap

Is that right...100 games.

He's a specialist forward though,he's like Medhurst,3 blinders...5 crap games,2 blinders,another 3 crap efforts and so forth....:D

I imagine if Mitch Morton ever managed 50 games that he'd be one of those players. He has all the skill in the world but no heart.

So much potential...:(
I was going to say staker TBH. Though he cost us very little he has all the athleticism in the world but he's never once lit up a game. He's a solid enough player but we're still waiting for him to 'turn it on'. Somehow I think we may be waiting a long time.

Waite??

ARE you serious. I would take Waite at Richmond
Waite has struggled since he did a Lance and starred in the NAB cup only to fall away once the real stuff started. He is an average kick of the footy, a poor spoiler and has been dragged to the forwardline in a few games because he's been beaten this year.

Setanta is a better one on one defender and knows how to use his body more in contests. He's still athletic despite putting on some muscle, but is still slight for a KPP backman and is more an attacking backflanker than a KPP.

A pity he's no Ang Christou who could kick 70 metres and hit a target. ;)
Nothing wrong with Waite. How many games has he played?

I'll swap ya for KB for Jarred any day.
Did you see Lucas thrash him after being beaten by Waite in the pre-season?

Carlton's midfield got on top but the shorter Thornton still stopped Lucas.

He was selected in the same draft as Gary Ablett Jnr and Judd yet hasn't gone on with it despite playing 50 games. I wouldn't take Bradley for Waite but a good second round pick would do it.

A bit like Richards to Sydney for pick 19 and 51. ;)

Think I've just changed my mind about Waite....

Staker....how he gets a game with that superior side is beyond me...

At least he's got skill:) ...Bradley still has the skills of a first gamer and has never had a heart. He's white toast.

Watch what Matt Priddis will be like at 50 games...and Essendon will buy him hopefully.

D-O-O-G-S.

Staker's actually an excellent example of why its worth persisting with 'potential' ridden players- he spent a long time showcasing flashes of brilliance and an appalling football brain, but this year he seems to have turned the corner, and has one of our better players over the last 5 games- shut down Goodes in r1, gamebreaker in the final term against pies, arguably best afield in the derby, 2 solid games in defence since then.

Some players never make it that far, or just plain don't have what it takes, but for a lot, there's a point at about the 60-70 game, 23-24 age group where inconsistent types 'click' and become, if not outright superstars, solid quality contributors

He deserved the medal.

He certainly stood out the most during the game, ableit from my vantage point on the couch.

Unfortunately Krak hasn't even progressed that far yet. It's more like 10 great minutes, disappear for 25 minutes, three brilliant tackles in 5 minutes including two that result in turnover goals to Richmond, then let's play "Where's Andy" for the next 40 minutes, and so on ...

He's nothing like Medhurst, though. He's more like a slow Aaron Davey - lots of forward pressure and cleverness, but just doesn't have Davey's ability and stamina (and desire?) to get to as many contests.

Swap use Guy Richards for him! A dud for a bunny seems like a fair trade to me! :thumbsu:
