Firstly, the "No Kane Cornes" Rule is back

Our midfield is already s**t we don't need to lose Tom and JOM at once
They’re why it’s shit. We have been crying out for this for 3 years now. Take it and run. Bottom out properly over next couple years, add Harley Reid next year who’s as good as prospect as there has been in over a decade. I’m all for it.

He is probably cooked. Some rumour he was injured but sometimes those injuries are the beginning of the end. No doubt a better player though.

Groin issues, could even be OP. Just struggled to move through and away from contests back end of the year.

Doubt he moves from Brisbane though

18 for Jeagar + salary is very decent. Midfield might be very frustrating to watch at times next year.

Amon, Meek, 4 top 30 picks.

Losing so much experience. If Sam sticks the landing on this rebuild without making the team a basket-case, and without any AFL assistance, academy picks, F/S luck etc, it would be hugely beating the odds. I guess you have to beat them at some point.
Realistically our midfield couldn’t get much worse than it was this year.

It’s already pretty much the worst in the comp. Gives our younger players more time in the middle together building synergy for when we go back up the ladder.

Least we will get some trade value out of our players this way.

That's a good deal if true. O'Halloran hasn't lit the world on fire but has developable traits, is young, and would likely get opportunity to cement himself. Pick 19 gives us some flexibility to either take a player or field offers from a club (e.g. Essendon 22 and Future Second to get ahead of Davey bid).

I'm still worried about the loss of leadership but I will say Sam has a clear vision.

If we lose JOM and TM I’d be definitely leaning more toward taking Clark with our first look , for his leadership traits .
Us: contemplating Clark

Also, if my predictive vice captain is traded to the Giants, the prophecy can be fulfilled earlier than expected.

C - James Sicily
VC - Dylan Moore

If JOM and Mitchell both go will we pick up some fringe depth? We nuked all our experienced fringe players (howe, shiels, Phillips) which was fine but midfield looks very light on. Maybe Dow from blues or Xavier O’hallaran from GWS?

If we going to properly rip the Band-Aid off and trade JOM and Tom, we might as well as finish the job and see if Chad is interested in a move to north as well.

JOM + Pick 6 to GWS.
Toby Greene + Pick 1 to Hawthorn.
Seems fair.
