Great insight. Thanks! Was pretty bored tonight so fast forwarded through my recording of the game to compile some stats on our centre clearance setups just for people's interest. Few of the percentages at the bottom of the page might be a little off as it's been a long day and I manually counted them up.
The letters at the end stand for Win, Draw and Loss. They may not match up with the official stats but I thought I'd include them anyway to give a bit more insight. I awarded a win for any clearance where we got a clearing kick from congestion, got it out into the hands of our players in general play or won a free kick before it left congestion. A draw for anything that resulted in a ball up before it left the initial congestion. A loss obviously where they got away with it instead.
Some points of interest:
- Very clear that Ceglar is our main ruck
- Rioli only in a handful of centre clearances but always the first of the quarter (except the last once Anderson was on)
- Burgoyne didn't go in there any where near as much as I felt he did
- Hodge was part of 75% of our clearance wins

I feel Happy, I feel Happy, my two wishes came true, the TWO cocky coaches Scott teams were flogged...HEHE
"We're a Happy team at Hawthorn, We're the MIGHTY fighting Hawks."
Oh what a feeling, (no sympathy for the 2 Scott's.) Happy, Happy, Happy
Steve Motlop won't be playing this week! Apparently he was a naught boy, for some off field issue. Mmm, I wonder what that issue was?
"Hope this is the wake up call he needs. But worrying we seem to have off field issues cropping up with our young guys. Bundy, Hartman, now Mots."
Interesting comments on the rats forum. Looks like some want him gone, gone, gone
Lol...
Geelong livewire Steven Motlop won't play in Sunday's crunch clash with Fremantle because he was caught drinking at a local football game at Colac on Good Friday.
The Cats weren't aware of the indiscretion until several players heard their Hawthorn opponents sledging Motlop about it during their Easter Monday blockbuster at the MCG.

Apparently it was Hodgies brother Motlop was with.So Hodgey had the spies out
Maybe the rest of the team should have had a few frothies too. It might not have been so ugly.

Do you know if there's link anywhere that mentions this? Would like to use it to stir up some pussies...
Disappointing if true. I'm sure the club will look at it and probably get Jeff and Beyond Blue involved.Apparently some Hawthorn players had a bit of banter revolving around Mitch Clark's mental illness, bloody poor form if true.
