When fit he is easily in our best 22 , super tough for a skinny bloke and he reads the play better than most. He is miles ahead of players like gunston and savage when ready, hopefully his time is coming because we are going to need every avaliable player with the number of injuries we are copping. people said Osborne wasnt in our best side but he was one of the players that got us home against the roos with a big last qrt, same with ellis, just because we havent seen him for a while we forget how important he can be.

Ahead of Gunston? No way. Totally different types of players who play in different positions. But I will agree with Savage. Sadly he has gone backwards.

mega lol. He slipped. Any player in the AFL could've layed that tackle. He handballed it and continued to get dragged down. Umpiring decision could've gone either way but like the rest of the game it went Hawthorns way.

Dangerfield slipped over the amber liquid running down the side of his legs as he saw the beast Stratton charging at him. Not Stratton's fault.

Sad to see Savage get dropped, I was hoping that he would find a way to pull himself out of this lull. He wasn't getting any better unfortunately - no touches at all last week. Playing as the sub wasn't really helping him though I think, it will be good for him to have a full game or two at Box Hill and hopefully find some touch. We could do with him being back in 2011 form!

Who are the 3 emergencies?

Here's the full line up. Thinking Simpkin starting in the guts would be a nice touch. Ozzy has been in cracking form but I think he could be the sub. Would add some great composure if it turns into a slog.

Round 6 teamFB: Gibson Lake Hodge
HB: Birchall Stratton Guerra
C: Smith Mitchell Hill
HF: Burgoyne Franklin Puopolo
FF: Breust Roughead Gunston
Foll: Bailey Lewis Sewell

Interchange: Shiels Hale Simpkin Osborne

Emerg: Duryea, Cheney, Spangher

Selection panel and coaches obviously don't rate Adelaide as a 'fast' side considering we're bringing in 2 inside mids who aren't renowned as being fast. Also allows Mitchell to remain on the HBF and not be murdered in the middle.
Out of interest who would you have brought in for rioli and savage? Savage needs to go back to the twos

We did get smashed in the clearances vs the roos, makes sense to bring in two clearance guns. We lose a bit of pace, but Adelaide aren't an overly quick side. Still think we'll benefit if we drop Hale. Wouldn't mind Cheney or Duryea getting a run.

We need 2 fresh hard-men in the middle. Had 5 tough ones in a row now, so lots of sore boys running around ATM!

Heading over for the game this weekend, Any locals with any suggestions on where to "warm up" prior? staying in the CBD.

Any help appeciated

Don't mind the selection of Simpkin, Cheney maybe a little stiff. Never really saw Ando as a realistic chance this week. Savage gets a full game albeit in the magoos. Don't buy the lack of run argument. Shouldn't confuse quick ball movement with speed across the ground. Geelong have had our measure through quick ball movement post 2008. Happy with Sewells return, he provides the extra grunt we missed last week. Just need the forwards to fire if that happens cant see Adeliade getting anywhere near us.
