even that comment shows that you haven't followed Melbourne. We've been poor all year. Even when we were 10-0 we almost lost to essendon, gold coast, hawthorn. West Coast pushed us for a half with half their team being top up players. Goodwin just hasn't adapted his game plan and has been too rigid to drop Ben Brown who is a 3 goal liability each match.

I'm complaining that the umpire swung the game and gave a free goal when the free wasn't there. If Buddy didn't flop and the umpire didn't give Sydney a free goal and momentum then May wouldn't have dived. It all started from the horrific call by Stevic

The free to Buddy wasn't there, but not sure it was a flop. Looked like he copped a hit to a vertebra from the point of May's elbow. That will make anyone grimace, not his fault umpire thought it was more than it was.

50 was there though. People focus on whether Buddy went to ground too easily, but that's the wrong thing to focus on. It's not about whether Buddy went to ground, it's about May going off his line to block Buddy running forward. Actively blocked Buddy from getting into position as a forward 50 target, that's a 50 every day, even if Buddy had kept his feet.

I think you are underestimating pressure. Any team can look bad if you put enough pressure on them and most of the bottom 10 teams are not capable of the sustained pressure that Sydney put Melbourne under last night (hence why they are bottom 10 teams).

Melbourne will straight sets. Without a functioning forward line you’re toast. The pressure went up and you went to water. Not the same team as last year, were destined for Geelong ‘08 and you’ve dished up Dogs ‘17 at best.

Yeah. another incorrect decision for mine that resulted in a goal. He looked pretty close to 5m away to the naked eye? Just shows how much the umps wanted to put their footprint on the game and they did just that. Yeah, im biased as hell but I honestly walked away from the game thinking we gifted the swans about 5 goals from unforced errors and the umps kicked them 3 goals (the buddy flop, the kozzie 4.99m from the Sydney player as well as the horrendous decision against sparrow that resulted in Sydneys first goal).

when you're a team like ours, everyone has seen us at our best. We don't worry about the opposition. We focus on playing our brand and our best, if we do, we'll win. if we don't we can lose to anyone. Surely, you can see that that story of 2022 is that the dees have regressed moreso than other people playing to the dees level of 2021.

Yep the loser of the QF rarely go out in straight sets. There’s no way Melb will lose the SF. Similarly to the loser of Gee and Coll especially if Freo win tonight.
