My friend, we are just going to have to agree to disagree. He is dead to me and no one will ever be able to talk me into liking him again. Some crimes are too heinous and what he did was unforgivable.
What a load of Pig's drizzle. I'm passionate about Carlton but unless you missed the smiley facey emoji thingy by accident, there's no sense to what you just typed right there.
i'm pretty comfortable with Campo coming back if that's what Teague thinks will help us get to a premiership.
There's too many shit people in the world to hold hatred against a footballer who changed clubs.

He. went. to. them.

He is forever tainted. He knew what he was doing and what it meant when he signed with them. I could forgive any other club but not them. And it had nothing to do with Pagan. He wanted a longer contract, three years instead of the two we offered. And he only ended up playing two seasons anyways. And we got nothing back for him.

Just had to go to *

Nup. fu** him. Dont want him to ever darken our doorstep again.
I have to be honest, I don't begrudge any player getting whatever remuneration they can while the play. Let them live their best life while they can. Every player should maximise their earning capacity while it is at its peak, regardless of the club that offers the rewards. Enjoyed watching Campo as a Blue and he had no real success with *, all the best to him.

If he is a terrible coach, that is another matter.

All the best to him and any player seeking riches while they can make it rain.

Thats nice. But Camporeale can still gagf as far as Im concerned.

Not trying to change or discredit anyone elses opinion, just wanted to voice my own. Kind of you to share its "pig drizzle" though. Do you try to invalidate all opinions that are contrary to your own or am I special exception?

Going to them crossed the line. At least for me it did. Ive buried him now so Id prefer not to have his reanimated corpse associated with the club.

Just the hateful shit ones. All the rest are OK regardless whether i agree or not.

Fair enough. I believe that we were going nowhere as a club at that time and he was coming to an end. Probably last chance to cash in and got a better offer. I would have preferred a different destination too but, if that was his only option, more power to him. It is entertainment and engagement for us but it is a livelihood for the players. Incumbent on us to make a better offer if we value the player.

Well, arent you just a bag of sunshine and unicorns? So people arent allowed to not like things and if they do they arent allowed to voice it. I dont think ive ever labelled someone elses opinion the way youve done. Must get lonely up on that high horse of yours

Fair point. I still hate him though

Let's just forget Campo as a player, as this is about a coaching role

I have made my thoughts clear in the past, coaches are overrated. They have peaks, ebbs and flows but it is more about the list

Clarko, Bolton, Campo, etc are driven by discipline and structures while Bevridge, Teague, etc build relationships

If each coach had the exact same list, I would normally take the latter

That being the case, I don't think Campo fits within Teague's methodology.

It's a no from me

I read somewhere today Teague isn't a fan of Campo and if true I can't see him being at the blues coaching next year.

With all due respect, I have it on pretty solid Intel that Campo didn't leave us for monetary reasons, it was down to a massive falling out with Denis Pagan.

If you asked Campo directly, I have no doubt he will tell you he still bleeds Navy Blue these days.

Also it's been 24 years since our last flag I now tend to think our premiership players deserve a bit more modicum of respect.

I don't approve of Campo returning as assistant coach FYI, but hope to clear up a popular misconception of his departure from Carlton

Yeah Campo leaving to * cut him as a Blues player in my eyes. I don’t hold it against him as much as I do with that money grabber Matty Allan though, that guy can just GAGF, never set foot in our club again.

Plenty of assistant coaches aren’t bluebaggers, so Campo doesn’t need to be either. I don’t much care as long as he’s the best option we have to win multiple flags with this list.

This is how I remember it ...

At the end of the 2005 season, Camporeale left Carlton following his desire for a three-year contract when Carlton would only offer a two-year contract.

Carlton tried to make it difficult for him to leave, so Camporeale nominated for the 2006 Pre-season Draft.
Essendon drafted Camporeale with draft pick number four in the pre-season draft

Oh right. Thanks for clarifying that :)

I recall i was more bummed out by Matty Allan joining * than Campo, the big fella was one of my favourite players at the time (playing for the same footy club as I did as a junior, North Ringwood)

Back on topic, I think Campo's stock has fallen with the fallout from the Crows Fiasco/Review, I doubt he will get a job anywhere in the AFL System tbh.

So what changed first half of 2017 nothing was being said about Campo or others. where and why did the fallout commence?

For 7 1/2 years nothing was said about him being divisive , something changed.

Those circumstances are hardly outrageous for leaving a club. Players do it all the time. Offering less is a good indication that a club no longer requires your services.

I still think Campo left because he couldn’t stand Denis Pagan. Obviously the feeling was mutual given the inferior contract.
