No issue if it is annual leave, however if it is sick leave, then no, i know what my employer would be saying if i did the same thing.

And as i said we are being asked to support local and stay in Victoria and holiday, yet a senior minister seems to take her funds elsewhere, just a touch hypocritical if you ask me.

Yeah, fair enough on the hypocrisy front.

I think it's fair to take a holiday (in Victoria) for mental health reasons if signed off by a health professional. The reasons behind taking sick leave are personal and not necessary information to share with employers. When I'm sick, I tell my higher up I'm sick and offer no further explanation.

Exactly, if someone actually took offence to a joke about Andrew’s mask wearing then she is clearly the problem, not us. Just typical of the PC world gone completely mad.

When my mate stuffed his knee up being a drunken idiot I called him an idiot and he didn’t get offended!!! If someone gets hurt at work he’ll get given gifts like a walker with flashing lights on it. But the PC mad world would find that offensive.

TL;DR
Doctors are referring patients for Covid-19 tests when it's extremely unlikely they have it.
The infrastructure around testing is sub-standard.
The clinical testing is sub-standard.
Communication of lab results is sub-standard.
People are having to self isolate for days at a time unnecessarily.

The UK is testing more per capita than almost any major country. Utter waste of time and money testing non symptomatic people. Has it saved lives? Very, very doubtul. Has it cost tens of billions? YES

If you test enough then you will get x false positives then tell y times x to self isolate.

Rather than Daniel Andrews coming back to work within a month or so, it might be a good idea to take a back seat for the remainder of the year and let Merlino or Allen take charge in order to get himself ready for 2022, because next year happens to be a state election year, and being on the hustings plus doing endless press conferences during the course of the campaign can take a lot out of Andrews not mentally, but physically.
