it's a social media mirage. a lot of it is bots imo, or paid professionals in his massive social media team. the #istandwithdan crew on twitter are lethal, however i've not come across one in real life - nor on my facebook/instagram feed.

he's got the ALP die hard boomers on his side because he's patriotic about Victoria and boomers barrack for their political party like a goddamn footy team. he has a lot of of the youth on side because he's been good for the "woke" stuff. makes a post about something LBTQ+ related and the 18-35 yr olds jizz themselves.

it seems the frustration with him this time around is getting louder, it's just a shame there is zero opposition. michael o'brien is a banana.

You just have to look at the extreme growth in people working for this government to see where it’s all coming from. Paid lots of money to sit on your ass at home for months and you don’t even ha e to be any good at your job? Who wouldn’t kiss Dans ass in that situation!!!

But in real life I know 3 istandwithdan morons.

2 of them are doctors, they seem really big on the we must do anything to stop this and they get more work out if it so double win! One of them is very active on Twitter and has been quoted on here many times by the Dan fanbois

The third one works for the ALP, used to work for Dan as he was the soft**** who got Somyurek fired the first time. Don’t know if he still works for Dan or not. Absolutely anal about following the rules.

The only people who love lockdowns are those in the government or who get more work out of it and love having no traffic on the road.

Is it any different from the hundreds of other columns he's written on exactly the same subject?

Well, glad to know out of the hundreds of journalists around the world there is at least ONE journalist out there willing to question the wisdom of every liberal democracy carrying out Chinese Communist Party style "lockdowns", a concept not in any way IN EXISTENCE or even THOUGHT OF just 12 months ago.

You should read more Murdoch media.

Oh yes. Ha ha ha. So witty. Murdoch. Murdoch. You guys sound obssessed.

Of course, your response would be oh so witty also if I was in France and criticising the rolling lockdowns...or Italy. Or Belgium. In those places, criticism of the most illiberal policies ever enacted on private citizens also have their roots in the "Murdoch mafia".:rolleyes:

not that hard to do that twice. how overweight are you? ;) :p :D

and fences dont mean sh*t - remember people have been escaping hotel detention, even with fences in place, for KFC runs

Not overweight at all. I walk up and down the You Yangs twice a week - at least I did until I was prohibited from doing so after a 5km movement limit was imposed. You must be walking in circles with your dog :p

Do you really think the people desperate for fast food are the same people that would scale a tall fence and walk across country for 3 and half hours? I feel a new TV reality show in the offing - a mashup of The Biggest Loser and SAS Australia.

In seriousness, it could be arranged that local food outlets could deliver and drop food at a safe point. If this is to be a new facility you can design in features so it's not so much of an ordeal for the inmates.

Electrified fences - problem solved.

It's already happened. You have had multiple people across the country break out of quarantine for stupid reasons, and another idiot smuggled a PS4 in

People are stupid

Was there any words on how long it will take to set up this quarantine facility?

Nothing that I saw. This won't replace HQ either - they are talking a maximum capacity of 1000 people (which is less than a week's worth of Vic intact, at the reduced level)

Has anyone actually explained to the population that, after vaccines, Covid will still transmit and the borders will eventually have to open and that Covid will circulate like any respiratory illness?

I mean, too many people I see actually frightened of Covid itself WHEN what we are actually only doing is preventing the very elderly from getting it - the long term plan would see practically every one get it at some point.

Yes, yes they have.
