Agree that Nic is a gamechanger, but disagree on the auto-include during finals.

He's played 3 games of footy in over a year. He doesn't have the tank to play extended minutes yet, and he will need a couple of games to find consistent touch. We'd essentially be playing games with half a player missing, and in finals that is just too, too risky against the top sides.

Back the system, back the boys who got us there. Nic can help us threepeat in 2020.
what NN lacks in fitness he makes up for in clearance dominance and 1%rs that no other ruck can do. Name me a ruck who can tap centre clearance to themselves from the middle and burst out like a midfielder?? no one.He spanked Grundy with one leg on only his 3rd game back. NN never had a big tank even before major injuries so I am not sure what you actually expect him to have in terms of fitness?? can you imagine having NN in a middle then rest him up forward to potentially take mark of the year pack mark will do to opposition defence in finals?? They will have nightmare days before the game. There is a reason Simmo calls him Eagle's Dangerfield. If NN is 50% match fit and 100% over injury then he walks straight in. no discussions what so ever.

Go and have a look at our overall stats during those 3 games that NN played plus last year when he came back from ACL to see how important he is. Yes we won without him last year, but this year if we face tigers at the G, it will be much harder, and NN will give us easily extra 3 goals in a game and we need it against tigers if we do indeed make it to the GF.

Good to see Duggan, Vardy and Edwards back in the team, all be it the dish has been managed.

Mind you we will have 2 or 3 from the extended bench from the Carlton listed line up.

Interesting to note Jake Pasini in the team - he will be a later pick in this year's draft playing lock down 3rd tall defender. With Brooksby, MvcInnes, Vardy, Brander and possibly Williams, it will be a hard ask for an 18 year old

Petrie came back from retirement because we were struggling for talls

With Edwards and Bines back after extended layoffs there’s probably not a need for Petrie as we’d be too tall

The selflessness of Petrie is off the charts - he’s been an outstanding addition to our club and I hope he stays around for a long time. Building and maintaining a strong culture needs good people and Petrie is top shelf

Said in an interview recently there is a new role for him at the club next year but didn't go into details.

The Facebook feed said potentially a quad? May have been a cork but I think it looked a bit worse on the only replay they showed.
