Danny Southern.

Had an IQ lower than his age.

:D

He played for the Western Bulldogs when they were known as Footscray, and was a local from their area.

He was a pretty tough customer - they'd probably think rats were a delicacy where he comes from!! ;)

Danny Southern wasn't that dumb at all, what the hell are you talking about? When he got into commentating, he was quite capable of articulating his words...no brainiac, but not a dumbass.

Top bloke as well.

For some reason Fevola scares the heck out of me! Maybe it's the hair...or the "Crown Casino" inccident. Either way when Carlton come and play over here, I'll make sure I'm 500 metres away from the guy.

If you've ever seen the batman movie with Jim carrey as the ridler at the end after he's face has kind of melted - thats Fevola

Stiffys gotta be the clown then;)
With Goodwin Hart Smart Biglands Stevens Skipworth pushing for berth I think we just need to be a little careful on who we slot back in.

Biglands is a must with his proteg'e struggling but havin a go.

Hart wouldnt want to be rushed back on a wet night.

Smarts been givin a message and the penny hasnt yet dropped so he shouldnt be given a straight up berth just yet.

Our defence needs someone strong but Smart isnt too fast on a Llyod chase.

Maybe Goodwin should be brought back on LLyod= get him some confidence:cool:

Id only bring in Skipworth for Gallagher

Why would we play Goody on Lloyd? Hound must get the job IMO. Goody will probably miss another week any way.

Hart to return via North Adelaide.

S Steven if fit should come in for Bock.

Smart will probably stay in the SANFL for a bit longer.

Not sure whether we bring Biglands straight in or via Eagles. Probably needs to come in given Essendon have 2 capable ruckmen.

Would we be better off playing Skipworth ahead of Bode & Gags (or even Ladhams)? I doubt it. Reckon Reilly is more likely to come in if we are to change up our midfield.

Sarge should be OK for CHB this week given he will be either on Bolton or Lucas. Just don't put him on Lloyd!

I disagree. Reilly has missed 3 or 4 games of footy so I am almost 100% certain that he will play for Sturt. If there are any changes in the midfield, Skipworth and Ladhams are the 2 players most likely to come in. Schuback is also a chance but I think the other 2 would get a look in before he does.

Personally, if there are changes in the midfield I would go for pace.

When I was talking of reilly coming in, I was thinking more from the selectors than my POV. Personally, I would like to see Schuey come in for Bode, as he hadn't done anything wrong before getting dropped. He would add the pace you are after & he is cleaner with his disposal than Bode.

I get the feeling the Crows are taking a "softly softly" approach with Schuback. Last year tey played him as a small forward and he played that role really well and kicked a few bags for Glenelg. This year they are playing him off HBF. With this latest move I think they are a bit reluctant to throw him in the guts. I reckon they are using the same approach they used with Goody. Let him learn his craft as a half back flanker before throwing him in the midfield. I think in the long term he will be a midfielder BUT in the short rn I get th efeeling they will play him as a HB flanker. HIs pace and long accurate kick can make him a very handy rebounding HBF and he is a good overhead for his size.

I would have him in the side ASAP. Personally I woudl be playing Reilly, Schuback, Hentschel and Jericho in the same side for the rest of the year. It can't hurt. However, Doughty seems to have Schuback's spot ATM.

Llyod is shaping as the danger man. If Burtons skills by foot were better Id suggest him being in the hole to cut off Llyods lead.

Wet Night?
Maybe another surprise will spring from the Coaching bag of tricks

At each centre bounce on Saturday night TJ, Burton ran straight frm the diamond edge of the square to act as a loose man in defence filling the hole as you have suggested.

No reason why he wouldn't do the same again this week.

If it rains, expect the whole Essendon team to almost pass away with the double shock of having to leave Melbourne, and actually playing without a roof. ;)

Yeah Im pretty sure he played that role against Geelong trying to get infront of Graham,Burton IMO really has to improve his disposal of the ball, he burned the ball a few times on Saturday night but once he can use the ball better he will become a much better footballer;)
