BTW all I didn't necessarily mean that it was all aboard the Flagmantle train. Just that the way results have fallen the last two weeks the chances we make the top 4 are suddenly, rather than just a distinct possibility, are getting up in the 50/50 range. Beat the Dogs (and Gold Coast) and it's better than. It's definitely the pragmatic thing to do to buy your flights then, once you're in the 4 anyone can make it.
We'd still be the youngest team in frame though, tough ask to go right through and win the big one.

Yep, beat Bulldogs and we will win the next three.
We have to consolidate now. We are poised as well as we have ever been .
I genuinely believe the boys were really focussed during the bye, love the feel of winning, and will be determined to leave the hoodoo of the bye behind them.

What gives me confidence in the team is the difference in attitude this year.

JL is getting testy and no nonsense in his pressers and the players seem to project confidence that they have what they need. Despite a couple of aberrations, the performance throughout the season has generally been very consistent.

Mate, we've had near full-strength/almost injury free squad all season that is now battle-hardened. Its all about focus and consistency from here. Bring on those four quarter efforts and we're a good crack at top-four.

I’d say with Darcy, Chapman and Cox missing the start, we’ve been missing our best 22 most of the season to date. Darcy had a false start and is only now starting to build match fitness, Chapman is finally hitting his straps big time and cox is still building towards a return to the team. That doesn’t include interruptions to Switta and Frederick plus the inclusion of Sturt to the forward line. The second half of the season is starting to look far better than the first half, just look at our ins this week compared to the last time we played the dogs.
