Just wondering what you think Ollie Henry (Pick 17) and Tanner Bruhn (Pick 12) are worth in individual trades, mate?
Only been with their clubs for 2 years each, and both arguably have more runs on the board than Rankine.
Keen to hear your thoughts!

Who was the dingus reporter that tweeted the deal was done right before the deadline when we were clearly miles apart?
My opinion is pick 5 is his value. The guy is one of the most talented players in the game and had his first decent season, suggesting an upward trajectory. Still a bit speculative and if that wasn't the case, he'd be worth more.
The question is should we be using high draft capital on that type of player (forward with some mid minutes) when we have a much more important need? I'm not talking using pick 5 for a mid in the draft. I mean targeting a current player who is more likely to give us good output within the next few years.
That's probably a no from me.
The positive would be we're bringing in another highly talented and skilled player. If he ends up like Bolton then it's going to be happy days.

Jordan Dawson ring any bells, only really had his breakout year when we grabbed him, nearly unheard of before that by most on this board.
For reference, everyone's favourite big bodied mid Christian Petracca is 186cm.Outside of Keays Pedlar is our tallest midfielder atm. Keays is 185cm still a tad under 6'1 and Pedlar is 184cm. But in comparison to our other mids they're kinda giants.
For reference JHF is 185cm but I'd be happy for a straight swap with our other 185cm mid @ Port. We are really missing that explosive elite mid 188 or + and we haven't had that since Danger departed at the end of 2015 and by the looks of it, we won't have it in 2023. That is not all that far off a decade.

Nah it's early days yet, a deal will get nutted out over the weekend would be my bet.
That's how development works though. You're a potentially good player until you start playing well, and then you're a good player. Fogarty was a patchy AFL player who had shown glimpses but might never make it until midway through this season and now he would command significant trade value if he was up for trade. Half a year of good form is significant if you're an early career player and it was the most recent half year.
I mean obviously it's possible Rankine turns out to be a mediocre player and the deal is a disaster but that's possible with a draft pick or with any other trade. I think it's odds on he will be very good.
He was one of the most talented players before he was even drafted. Not sure if you were born back then, but he was freakishly talented even in the year prior to his draft.
Turning that talent into performance has taken a while.
