Surely you are kidding? The reason people don't give up their wiggles membership is because they can't get them back again. Was woeful last year how your numbers dropped right off even though the seats were fully paid for, and your 'supporters' wouldn't even show up....how can you even try and defend that?? I was actually embarressed for the good supporters..

And the reason you 'can't get them back' is that the demand for them is so strong.

Every single club in the AFL would rather have a core membership base of 40,000 and attendances flucuating with form (and WC have had 1 home crowd under 31,000 in the last 3 seasons and a bit... Freo had just as many in 2010 despite being in top 4 contention) than a fluctuating membership base.
