Fair enough, although as someone else said, Luke was going much better earlier in the year, but then seemed to cop another big knock on his shoulder and hasn't been the same since, so I think that comes into it a fair bit.Had to become more accountable. Probs went too far?
I'd be happy to give him one year with the promise to extend it mid year if he performs.
We all got excited about Luke end of last year as well.
Would like to see Jack carry that form into 2019 before making along term commitment.
He's one of several who were going much better earlier in the year, but haven't been the same since getting injured: Webster, Carlisle, Acres, Long, Battle are others who have all been noticeably worse on return from injuries.
All we're seeing from Lonie now is what he was doing in the juniors and what he was doing in his first year in the AFL, so I think the couple of years in between are more likely to be the aberration, possibly due to poor coaching (trying to make him something he wasn't for instance), or whatever.
Time will tell tho.
