Again - messy breakup will be treated as a rape/murder/genocide case by the losers that roam these parts. I knew there was a good reason I gave up posting here. This has nothing to do with him being a St Kilda player- I just don't wish to get my rocks off by finding joy out of other peoples pain/personal issues. .
Unless it's a player from an opposition club ..then you will be in there Boots and all ;)

Always trust the saints fans here to defend the indefensible AVO are very hard to obtain unless you have reasonable proof to present to a judge. Breaching it just adds to the stupidity of the player but doubt the courts will hand out any tough penalties hopeful,y the penny has dropped and he gets help for his destructive behaviour.

Only A Fail seems to be defending him. That is FAN not FANS.

My position is simple. I do not care who is at fault here. If she is some freaked out ex using the court system for revenge or if he is some crazed man stalking his ex etc. The details & the justice or otherwise of the situation do not matter.

The headline "Saints player charged over stalk claims" is all that matters. Neithier the vast majority of the public nor the sponsors will care about the details of what the courts find happened in a years time.

This sort of rubbish has happened way to often. It is time to draw a line in the sand. Sack his sorry ass.

Interesting that I logged on to the main board here and what are the first 3 threads at the top of the page?

Saints player charged over stalking

Crows deal for Tippett lands them in hot water?

Tanking affair darkens for Dees

It seems most here are attracted to negative news stories like flies to shit.
And here you are ;)

So you want to sack a player becuase of an over the top headline, irrespective of the "facts"

For the record - I'm defending nobody. The only fact is he was arrested and is due to appear.

Only a complete fool would draw conclusions and make assumptions based on that sliver of information.

Then again, this is big footy: SACK EVERYONE !!!!

What was that about a "messy break-up"?

That's a logical conslusion based on other information.

my point is that people lose their minds and want everyone sacked for getting their name in the paper, it's pathetic.

Yes.

Making no assumptions, do not care about the truth of what happened, becouse it does not matter. This image that is being built up will kill our club if we do not do something, so Gram ends up as road kill. No player is bigger then the club.

You are aware that the "V" in "AVO" stands for "Violence", I presume?

Magistrates aren't in the habit of dealing those out willy-nilly over "messy break-ups".

If you are going toplay the high and mighty card you really should get your facts right.

There is no such thing as an AVO in Victoria. They are called Intervention Orders. No V and no Violence. Anyone can take them out for just about anything and yes sadly they are thrown around like confetti.

The actual breach of the intervention order may be a different matter and while we are always keen to play the ‘moral card’ against opposition supporters until the facts are know we should reserve comment. The mere fact that an Intervention Order is in place does not, in itself, mean a whole lot.

Give this man a microphone.

AVO is in NSW not Vic.

And intervention orders can be made without the magistrate viewing them by the police or court staff.

many people avoid contesting them and accept the 12 month intervention order without making admissions so as to avoid the hassle

it really depends on what the breach was.

StKilda sacked the last bloke who was arrested and subsequently found not guilty of a crime.

Isn't it still a court order?

If so, it is a very bad look for an AFL player to be breaching a court order, irrespective of how easily they may be granted.

Clutching at straws when we are comparing legal differences between Victoria and NSW.

I didn't mention the NSW system. As you can tell, I'm not even from the eastern states.

I was just wondering if an intervention order is a court order in Victoria, of which a breach could lead to criminal sanctions.

I don't think the details are of any business to a bunch of losers sitting behind a keyboard. IVO's are handed out like cookies - and it doesn't take much to breach it. There's no allegation of assault etc, so it would appear it's an attempt to contact whoever it is - whether it be by phone, or visiting their house.

This has nothing to do with him being a St Kilda player- I just don't wish to get my rocks off by finding joy out of other peoples pain/personal issues. Unfortunately, there are a lot of pretty sad people who need that kind of stuff to talk about with their makes so they can believe they are better than successful people. Whatever works for the cretins, I guess.

It's just truly pathetic to see people flocking to such stories, casting judgement, so they can feel better - then it's hilarious to know the same people will go home from their low income jobs, to a shitty house in the suburbs, to eat a poorly made dinner with their fat wife and ugly children.

Stalkers aren't usually thought of as successful.

I'm left wondering why you posted here although I do feel for you it must be bad enough having a fat wife and ugly kids but a poorly made dinner is just going to far, I assume it is your life you are describing as you state clearly that it is pathetic to cast judgement on others:oops:

These 3 comments all came from one post? Is this real life?

Shit man, it's a football forum, and a footballer has been arrested. By the looks of it, no one has found joy out of it, a few snide remarks (mostly relating to St Kilda as a club rather than any individual) and trying (mistakenly) to identify said footballer.
Please point to where people go their rocks off by finding joy out of this players personal issues?

Time for Stmisogyny to receive a bit of training in the AFL's respect and responsibility policies.

Obviously this lot have misinterpreted the message, their antics with Kim and the refusal to sign autographs for fat chicks shows how they went with the respect and the Midget thinks bringing the chloroform to the party is being responsible.

I pretty sure even Peter Griffen attended sensitivity traing as a result of his attitude towards women.
