Geeezuz..

the Dees have been dumped like a hot potato round here!..

I’d have my money on the dees next year..

going back to back is an enormous ask.. the tigers couldn’t do it in 2018 either.. but came back and won the next two..

reacon the dees will bounce back next year.. they have far too much talent all over the ground not to..

Their forward line is veeeery questionable apart from Pickett. Maybe Gawn spends more time as a forward target?

I can see them anywhere from 1st to 8th

Gawn kicking for goal is not exactly what you can bank on either.

No, do tell.

How can an oval be on a hill? Do they toss a coin to decide who kicks uphill and who kicks downhill??

I’m laughing so hard as I write this but don’t let that stop you…I want an explanation!
Imagine a hill, with the top cut off and the oval taking up all of the flat top surface. (Almost volcano shaped).

Once saw a boundary umpire trip as he threw the ball back in, and fall down the hill there too.

Port have a list that could scrape into the bottom half of the 8, but they're not a premiership threat, and people are deluded/sucked into the hype if a 19 year-old who really hasn't shown all that match is going to turn them into one.
Geelong just won the flag and improved their list, Tigers as well. Pretty sure the team that just finished tenth won't be winning a flag due to one player.
+Brisbane if they add Dunkley to their midfield.

You should try playing cricket at Wistow in the Adelaide Hills. It not called "The Hill" coz its flat i can tell you. If you are fielding at point on the eastern side you can just see the head of the square leg umpire.

Oh no doubt, but that's probably a pick in the 30s and 40s?

2 players and 2 picks for 7 picks, that's a huge bet

For two guys that are guaranteed starters? Draft picks are over rated when you can pick up established talent that strengthens your team

Port are just the soap opera who keep giving aren’t they?

10 years of Hinkley without a flag. The longest serving coach without even reaching a GF

Each year they bring in the missing pieces who are guaranteed to win it for them. Every year they fail - sometimes spectacularly!

But Ken’s got one more year to serve. Koch has backed him for so long that he’s gone all or nothing on this final year.

They’ve finally realised that missing pieces who are duds aren’t going to help. So they draft in some quality like Butters and Rozee.

But they’re young and take time to come good, meanwhile Grey gets old and retires and Boak can’t kick a goal to save his life. Or the team.

But this year - THIS YEAR! - they get the “once in a generation” boy-God who is going to be THE missing piece.

Plus of course a Rioli who was good when he was at the Bay but is now only playing for the big bucks

Except the boy-God is only a kid and there’s a limit to how much he’ll add in his first year. And if only his name was Daicos…

But this is the year! Koch is sure of it! This is it, his vindication of keeping Kenny. All. This. Time!

But he’s also got Josh Carr ready to take over when it all turns to s*** again..😄

I do like JHF stating that he left north and went to port because of the stability of the coaching. Just give Ken the extension already

Isn't that a real nightmare scenario for the standard Port supporter. Their marquee recruit wants to be under Ken with a board who are likely looking for excuses to resign him.

Could easily get another 2-3 years at the helm if Port start well.

hold on hes right

no ceo now
no coach now
list manager was getting sacked by clarko but they had to hold him for trade period cos no-one else was there

its a mess. the tea lady is manning the front desk, sonja has h&r block managing the finances, and horne was going to be moonlighting as the bootstudder if he stayed 🤣🤣🤣

I reckon they’ll resign him before March. They’ll be undefeated until then and show some real form through the rookie draft and pre season 2km time trials.

heres another scenario
  • port just miss the 8
  • hinkley sacked
  • butters says F U and requests trade
  • wines does ACL
  • georgiadis asks for trade OOC
  • jonas, boak, lycett, dixon retire
  • window is shut.
  • its a very nice midfield but its not a premiership list in my opinion
This is kind of sad, having to resort to injury and the hope of 2 young potential stars leaving to justify your own wishful narrative.

Ports top end youngsters would be the envy of a lot of clubs. List management deserves huge praise for that.

You got Rankine, a massive get and a step in the right direction, JHF for Port.

Both clubs should be very excited this off season.
Be happy lad!

youre right it was more of a parody because everyone on here was so worried about what port might do.

neither of these players will make a huge difference to output next year imo. it will take more time.

First of all, can we stop the crying over Power getting JHF?

Stop pretending he is no good.
Stop with the death wishes on the kid’s career.

It’s telling.

He is obviously raw, but bloody hell he’s talented and hard at it. Is missing the media training that Rankine has had! JHF shouldn’t be talking about wanting to be the best player in the league - should be saying he wants to earn the respect of his team mates and help the team to win a premiership!

A lot of water to go under the bridge for Jason in the next few years … I think he’ll be just fine.

Agreed that is why when pick wise in 2019 draft and Port traded ahead of us to grab Rozee at pick 5 and we took Fish at pick 6. If we had Rozee in our team we improve instantly. Again their list management team getting it done vs ours asleep at the wheel. Which team of us and Port needs Rozee the most? Us then daylight.
