After having to watch Dangerfield running around for Geelong for the past 7 seasons in what was supposed to be our turn to win a flag, I am fine with ripping off a Victorian team and getting an elite talent to come home.

Yep South is aligned with Port for AFL Academy players when it comes to placement as part of the Academt system. Mo other reason.Yes but I’m pretty sure the players don’t choose which club to train at.
Like a mini Buckley cloneFrom what I've seen he looks like a highly talented, passionate future gun who plays right on the edge, isn't there to make friends and has a bit of FIGJAM.
In other words he's exactly what we need.

Coach out his talent? We can coach that out of him
Made the right choice in choosing us over port, not the right choice to leave the Swans!Need to get Jordan Dawson to speak to him on why he chose Crows over Port, from all reports loves it with us and confident he made the right choice.
Not sure. He did train on with port last year when some draft eligible kids had the chance to train with the AFL clubs
They’ve moved from denial to angerNorth fans have turned on him massively on Facebook. As far as they are concerned he can gtfo. Several were even saying they'd do it for our first and a second. Start the car.....

For me the craziest thing is that 6 months ago he was sleeping in his North Melbourne Guernsey.
It has unraveled so quickly.
North have a distinct lack of KPD - We need to offer our first and Mcasey.
Interesting the fact that it unravelled so quickly reflects poorly on him too. My gut is he will do everything he can to get to port . Whilst we should absolutely try to get him we utterly mismanaged the draft . Hate to say it but if port had the same trade currency that we had they would have done whatever it takes. Rachele & Soligo vs JHF is looking OK?Interesting the fact that it unravelled so quickly reflects poorly on him too. My gut is he will do everything he can to get to port . There is absolutely no way in hell the crows wouldve offered their 2021 1st, 2022 1st and another first rounder during last years trade period to try and get pick 1 and thus JHF without asking the lad if he wanted to play for the crows first..Need to get Jordan Dawson to speak to him on why he chose Crows over Port, from all reports loves it with us and confident he made the right choice.

Nicksy aparently met with the lad a couple of times prior to last years draft.. he wouldve asked him.
And the fact they asked North for that trade tells you that JHF said “yes, I would be happy to play at the crows”.. they wouldnt have put that much capital up to get pick 1 last year if he hadve said “nah, not keen to play for you guys”..
The JHF ties to Port are based on his stepfathers past ties.. and they arent the strongest of ties. Fabian dodnt exactly leave on the best terms.
JHF was/is a freo supporter growing up so theres no port link there..
If he asks to be traded home to SA at the end of this season you’d have to think North will say fine but you can go to the SA club who can give us the very best deal possible.. or you can stick any trade ideas up your arse as you are still contracted to us.. who do we all think can provide the best deal at the table between port and crows come the end of the year?..
The lad himself will also be looking at which club can provide the best deal money wise and who of the two teams has more chance of success on the horizon.. crows are down the bottom but you’d have to think Ports window has just shut (debatable that it was actually open anyway- they arent really that great they just kept getting very soft draws in recent years)..
JHF choosing Port, and North even dealing with port, is very far from a given..
And who is that? Karl Amon? He’s a free agent anyway and might get a third round compo. Unless Port tank they won’t have the capital we have to trade.the thing with Port is that they're already working out who they can push out that has value to get the capital required. We wouldn't part with Matt Crouch because we believe that's not what good clubs do.
