Traded Jason Horne-Francis [to Port Adelaide in multi-club trade]

Are GWS looking to use picks 3, 12, 15, 18 and 19 purely for the draft? Or do they want to get some players in via trade?

Maybe we could upgrade pick 33 or 43 for one those later picks and offer up Byrne-Jones or Bonner?

We genuinely need to trade away a player for 2nd round. Can't see it happening another way.

Hayes, Drew, Bonner, DBJ, Farrell. DBJ with most value in that lot perhaps as an All-Australian and club BnF although he was off it best this year. I know he just resigned but yeah either him or Drew

In all seriousness North have actually done fine out of this deal. So have West Coast. GWS showed up, bent over and handed over the lube to make it work for everyone else, and I salute them for it.
Yeah I think north have done well. What more can you hope for to get for a player that wants out than a similar pick + a future 1st on top. That’s a good deal.

Also west coast, despite people knocking them to get out of pick 2 and the private school vic boys and into hewett territory , whose not far behind, if at all those vic boys plus get another pick. That’s good for them.

Ports given up a lot, but the fact we get future 2nds and 3rds back helps a lot,

In the end rozee butters jhf Bergman sinn to look forward too in our midfield.

I really rate that group of players as a future midfield. High end young talent there.

After recent developments I've made a quick change as to what we will accept for rioli

1 X pick 16 lower OR 2x second round pick Or Georgie OR

Now Rioli must be included in any dealings with JHF if you want us to be third party. You must take him and pay for him. Have a good day. We will not help you on your quest for a top 5 pick without taking rioli and paying for

I will let Jason Cripps know thats what needs to happen

It's up to 6 teams :D

If not involved yet, Dodoro can't be far away

I can't get my head around how Port are going to be able to bring in JHF, Rioli and Ratugolea without trading a player.

It could be an 18 team trade and they still wouldn't be putting out enough currency to get it done.

They’re going to have to give up one of their “untouchables”

Port recruiters are too dumb to understand how trading works

So we are trading 1 and JHF for 2 & 3? Oh dear. Rawlings and Viney aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. Maybe if Port make it really complicated they will just get confused and agree to anything.
Maybe your list managers are more sensible than you and don't think that JHF's value has somehow gone up from pick 1 despite him having a shit year and then demanding a trade?

I reckon North want 4 first round picks for a very average vanilla footballer with a shit attitude and who will only be wasting his and everyone's time, effort and resources next season. There's seriously no point keeping him.

Yet you value Sinn and Bergman where?

Jase played 17 games and showed he belongs at the level in year 1.

Hell for the 1st 10 weeks he was almost our best, probably says more about us than him, but still.

All else aside the kid can football!

Your contributions are always inciteful and appreciated.

This is what I came up with in the port board, mind you I have no clue

gws: Pick 1 (north), 25 (Geelong)
North: pick 2 (WCE) and 3 (GWS), 35 (bris)
Port: JHF, Rioli, Esava
West coast: 8 (port) and 12 (Gws), 48(Bris)
Brisbane: ports future first, 53 + 57 (port)
Geelong: pick 21 (Bris), port future second

Your future first is going to us.

And a hell of a lot more I assume.

GWS had 3 and 12 on the table for 1 only a few hours ago.

I love the mega deals so it would be interesting to see the finer details of this six way trade.

Cannot speak for the others but from the WC perspective we're going to need a lot better than pick 48 to sweeten that deal. A future first from a club would help make it fair - we are effectively losing Rioli and 2 for only 8 and 12 at the moment, seems unlikely we'd accept that.

It is difficult to envision a trade where Port get all three of their targets without also losing at least pick 33 too.

Maybe 33, again I wiped it up in like 2 mins

As will we.

We had 3 and 12 on the table a few hours ago for Pick 1.

That would mean we are essentially trading JHF and 12 for Pick 2 and Ports R1.

I feel like we are the ones that are going to get screwed in this deal.

In isolation we should have Port and GWS pants down for each trade if they are done separately.

Not sure you do have a clue.

Maybe do an ins/outs for each team. But it looks like we are trading 1 and JHF for 2,3 and 35. Am I missing something? If not, that is just atrocious for us.

Is this how you think trading works, tap up players all year through their managers. Promise the world and then when it comes to actually getting the deal down with the opposition club, stand there and say nah, they ain’t worth it?

Alternatively,
