Your reply was directed to Dodgey, not me...

"REAL 100's are only counted when kicked during the home and away."
That's only according to you, which isn't saying much...

Just shows your Bummer arrogance by not completely reading what was written to you.
Why bother reading most of the crap you read anyway? You lost any little credibilty you once had, when you mentioned Neitz being more damaging than Lloyd...

That's it, so run D*ckfan. Run scared to another country you pathetic fool and make shyte filled comments and pretend you know something about our great game. 'Our game' excludes you, only including people who live, eat and breath this country and its wonderful code.

You're right, similar sentiments have led Essendon to treasuring it's McClelland trophies of 1999, 2000 more than the rag-tag knockout premiership they won in the four weeks following the completion of the 2000 season.

Coleman medals are awarded for goals kicked in the Home and Away, but the history books will look back and say Lloyd kicked 100+ in 2000 and 2001 seasons

That's my aim. But good old po*fter's legend's left some big shoes to fill. But I'll give it a go. I appreciate the wrap though Marcuz.

But don't you think the 100 is somewhat shallow when extra games are required to achieve it? I just think 100 in the regular season is a true 100, it's like saying Ricky Ponting scored a test century after scoring 99 runs in the first innings and 1 in the 2nd innings. Its just not cricket.

I also forgot to mention you nearing 3000 posts. You are a giant. A Leigh Mathews of the Big Footy forums. You will be written into Big Footy folk law.

umm - no I'm not running.

I'm working in a job that pays me three times as much as what I would receive in Australia doing the same job with half the living expenses. If that's running so be it. At least I'll be a rich runner.

Earning big filthy $$$ has nothing to do with it.

You should be proud of where you come from, proud of being Australian. For you to say "thank god I don't live in Australia" is an absolute disgrace. I'm sure even your fellow Essendon supporters on this post are ashamed that you follow their club.

Adios d*ckhead.

shallow? No, perhaps the wrong choice of words there.

If you were to say, slightly less of an achievement I'd agree with you. In the same way that I'd say kicking 8 goals was better than kicking 6. Both are pretty good.

I should declare my allegiance and tell you that I'm a bomber fan here though. So the only thing that I'll say is that I don't know what the 'true' 100 is but I'm pretty happy with how young Lloyd is going. Seeing him kick 100 goals in a season (including finals) was pretty special.

Regardless of whether he needed extra games or not, 100 goals in a season is a great achievement. To say otherwise is to discredit anyone who kicked a specific number of goals in any but the shortest seasons. Is it as impressive as kicking 100 in 22 games? Maybe not but that doesn't make being proud of the achievement shallow.

Fair enough, shallow is probably too harsh. I agree that 100 in one year is still special, but I just think that for example Richo kicked 100 in 19 games, that would be a better achievement than Lloyd kicking 110 in 24.

And before everyone get's worked up over the mention of Richo kicking 100 goals, he has kicked 91 in the home and away before, the last time he spent the whole year at full forward. This year he will be at FF permanently, and with Cogs, Campo, Johnson, Blumfield and now Brown putting it down his throat, it could be possible!

run along newbie:eek:

The whole thing is a p*ss take at a discussion that took place on the society and culture board last month.

I love Australia but that doesn't mean I have to love the state of the nation at the moment. I thought only Americans love their country blindly.

Dole bludger? And this assumption comes from? Yes Marcuz and after the experience nearing 3000 posts you're still getting pulverized by 'Newbie's' such as myself. Does it hurt that after all those posts you still get clobbered. Leave it to the big boys. You may go now.

note: Don Fan left Australia after the Pauline Hanson 'One Nation' party fell apart. I think Pauline may be out of jail soon DonFan, but don't get your hopes up.

Yze - good to watch but looks like his best is behind him
JJ - has carried the Essendon midfield for two years. Just does not stop.

= JJ hands down.

The Lloyd/Neitz comparison is stupid. Look at the stats.
Lloyd is the better full forward. Neitz the better backman. Given the chance every club would choose Lloyd over Neitz without a doubt.

Oh and the whole 'I'm a better Aussie than you' debate is so wet its embarrassing. Who gives a ****e?
