Jumper v Carlton

Whether we particularly like our current home jumper or not (I think its certainly an improvement on the last one), we ought to be wearing it at all our home games, be they H & A season or finals.

If our home jumper then happens to clash with the visiting team, they should be compelled to wear a change strip.

Case. F**king. Closed.

Couldn't agree more.

I agree with this.

If Eagles refuse to wear their Royal Blue, then we should be forced to wear the Baby Blue...

But it does seem like everyone can be satisfied if communication occurs

I don't mind if Carlton insist on the navy.. might push us closer to realising our home jumper sucks and go back to royal blue.

Pretty simple solution to these clashes. The AFL must not allow these new clubs to continue to change their jumpers that are now clashing with jumpers of clubs that have been around for over 100 years. Look at the Freo jumper now, almost looks like a Carlton jumper without the monogram.
If the AFL continue to allow these jumper changes then it shouldnt expect other clubs to wear clash jumpers when the original jumpers didnt clash. (hope that made sense).

Although I agree, it's totally irrelevant in this case.

West Coast have been wearing the Navy Blue Tri-panel for 12 years (unforunately). And before that they had a Navy Blue Wings design for a few years. So Navy has been a West Coast colour most of there existance.

And if they drop the tri-panel (hopefully!), chances are they will have a Navy Wings jumper instead (bigger clash with Carlton).

The probably in this case is just the AFL choice of jumpers. Should been either:

WC: Royal; Carlton: Navy/White Shorts
or
WC Navy: Carlton: Baby Blue

Both of the above would have been better options.

Was a disgrace, why bother having clash jumpers if they aren't used in finals. Every other sport in the world does not change their rules for finals. Much bigger clubs than collingwood and Carlton do not wear their preferred colors on major occasions because its not the fair thing to do.

Just another example of the AFL screwing over my club, treating them as inferiro to melbourne based clubs and I don't like it one bit.
