Lee bowled some slower balls last game, held it further back in the hand and it was coming out in the 120s.

Well it works. I know he used to do it too, but that was mostly on yorkers and fuller length deliveries. If he did it on shorter ones too it could work very well, especially if he mixed it up with his speared yorkers, bouncers, out/inswingers, etc. He's been fantastic tonight, and Johnson has mixed it up very effectively today.

if tait and lee get 2 overs at the start again, 17th. if white mixes it up i reckon we can defend it. slow outfield, slow pitch, big boundaries. first 6 overs will be crucial.

Lot of the England players haven't handled the short ball all that well, eyes closed looking away from the ball. Might be something to focus on during the 50 over games.

We've got to try something different in the ODI's with the middler order. If we get off to a flier like we have in these two games, we should send in players like Johnson, Finch and White, rather than Dussey and Smith.

Then if we lose wickets from pinch hitting send them in to consolidate.
