Regarding ticket sales/swaps: The AFL Grand Final is protected under Australian law by anti-scalping regulations, which forbid tickets to be sold at more than 10% of their face value. Offering tickets at more than this will be deleted; continuing to try to scalp tickets will result in bans.

BigFooty does not guarantee ticket sales or swaps. It is entirely at your own risk, please make sure you trust the poster in question. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

It must be luck of the draw to be honest, because I got 424 on my first go as well.

For next time (3 weeks from now hopefully), a few tips based on what I did:

1. Have the barcodes ready to go in notepad, each on their own separate line, so you can just copy it in straight away

2. I have a feeling that the “queue” you get put into when tickets open is random, so I usually have a few different web browsers/devices open in the “queue” until one gets in first and go from there. Interestingly this time the one that I refreshed at 10am actually got in quicker than the ones that were sitting there waiting as instructed, so do with that information what you will lol.

3. Honestly in my experience refreshing to try and get better seats is a trap. It still holds all the previous seat allocations you had for 5 minutes each, and because everyone keeps refreshing it just pushes your new allocation further and further out every time you refresh.

Like a lot of others, after selecting best available got a series of nosebleeds pretty much behind the goals. After about eight retries finally got Section 423 Row FF, so grabbed these seats.
The system stinks when first in don't get best choice. Both Ticketmaster and Ticketek need some decent competition!
I managed to grab one in 424 after three attempts. Now to figure out how I’ll actually get to Brisbane…

Horrible, horrible system.

Nothing user friendly about it at all.

I needed 4 seats with two bar codes .

I eventually got them but had to do it in two lots. I'm probably a stupid old dinosaur but that seemed to be the only way I could get the four I wanted

So two of us are in one area together and the other two are in another area together.

Yes it's total crap.

The first pair of seats I got are a bit ordinary but the second pair are much better (TT on centre wing on the Vulture Street side).

The "better" ones appeared 20 minutes later

Email I got said (if I read it right) up to 3 tickets per membership, is that right? So if I have 3 memberships I can buy 9 tickets? Doesn't seem right.
That's exactly what I did 🤷‍♂️

Bay 436 Row AA. Near the 50m in the north west corner. I'll be the one in the front row making a d!ck of himself with 8 mates chuckling out of embarrassment 🤦

Plenty seats still available up the top. Some classed as restricted view. Guessing they class the rails where you walk up the stairs as restricted. Half the price
I won't be in attendance but the old man was more than happy to learn about this little hack. AA, centre-wing for $35 a piece. @ 6'2" myself, the extra legroom is the icing on the cake.

Everyone would have received this email but will put it on here as a reminder.

Well that was more painful than getting the tickets.
They made me sign up with a different email address and also had to change the password.
So now my tickets for this game are in one Ticketmaster account and now have another Ticketmaster account to have to set up and use for any future events.
I will now have to re set up the card for payments and everything before being able to purchase tickets for any future finals games.

I wonder how that works for me, the 5 members in our group are in MyLions account set up with my email but my son purchases the finals tickets through his Ticketmaster account and his email.:think: Son has the password for MyLions but not for my email.

I am a typical baby boomer, I hate f ing change... most of the time.

My email address for my Ticketmaster account and my Lions account were different and it wouldn’t let me use the one that I wanted to use. So now I have 2 ticket master accounts as a result and will have re-set everything up on the one that is now linked to the lions, which kinda sux.
But hopefully once it’s all set up it will be fine.

Why they decided to do this change during a finals series is nonsensical IMO, why not wait till the start of next season.

Somebody in tech at Ticketmaster and/or MyLions making change for changes sake to justify their own existence the likely reason.

Spoke to my son and we are going to get together and sort it out over the weekend.

My thoughts exactly.
Atleast they didn’t do it before the first final went on sale.
Atleast now, I have a little time to sort it out, I guess.

After reading some of the above issues i gave it a try.
First time i signed in no prompt appeared and i was signed in as normal.
I would have had to change it manually via profile but decided to log out.

On my second attempt i did get the prompt.

All my details were correct so i just went down to the "change password" part.

I then changed My Lions password to the same one i use for my Ticketmaster account.
All went through fine.

To double check i manually signed into Lions/membership and then manually to Ticketmaster.
Both accepting my original Ticketmaster password.

You could probably fix that up.
Anyhow have a read of this article from Ticketmaster site. Details why they are changing the process.
From the article the same password will work for multiple Ticketmaster accounts
Assuming you used the same password for the different email accounts.

So, to access tickets you have to download the Ticketmaster app, they won't appear in lions app?
They should have sent you an email with the link to you tickets and then you can save them to your mobile wallet in your phone.

Club emails being sent regarding Grand Final ticket registration.
If we win on Saturday registration time depends on your membership priority access.
September members are "priority one" and registration for that is on Wednesday 13/9/2023 8am-12 noon AEST.

Your Club email will indicate which priority access you have and your registration date and time.

Check that you can log into your Ticketek account if you have not used it for a while.
Grand Final tickets are with Ticketek not Ticketmaster.
Open up a Ticketek account if you do not have one.

Seeing all members will get an email the only other thing i will post is the prices.
No junior prices in the grand final they are the same price as "concession."

Sounds like you can’t choose a category of seating.
You just get a seat where you get a seat.
