Because of the AFL stock market, I'd say :tongueoutv1:

Stan Marsh America GIF by South Park
I see Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd in there

Tell me this isn't a premiership side in 2023:

Gov Young Stocker
Marchy Weits Saad

Williams Doc Fisher
Pitto/TDK Cripps Hewett

Martin McKay Walsh
Silvagni Curnow Durdin/Motlop/Owies/Honey

Cerra Kennedy Options/Options

If we are talking premierships

At least 2 dynamic outside types short
Young and Stocker would need to improve 20%
* against Martin, Gov, Marchbank fitness
Small fwds need to raise level by 40%

Is harmes from Melbourne worth a look for wing position? I like what i have seen. What would it take to secure?

Unlikely and I think he is better suited as an inside mid/tagger. More likely to get Hunt as a UFA and would be a better wing option

TDK conversation could change very quickly if he stopped trying to take mark of the year & just clunked a couple at there highest point. He try’s to hard for the spectacular & doesn’t do basic big man. He should get around the the ground a lot more & take a whole lot more simple marks. He doesn’t use his athleticism for anything other that trying to take a hanger- need to cut that shit out & start being reliable.
I can’t see anyone offering us an outrageous deal.
Ruckman u either overpay for the top talent or suck it up as they develop

Zero interest in McAsey if we intend on keeping one or both of McDonald and Durdin. Exactly the same type of player, just a bit more versatile and younger. We should be cultivating some elite talent and tactical variety.

Is this a sweetener so Adelaide get a better pick in any deal for Sholl? In a sepearate trade, he has the same valuation as Young did.

We will not be keeping both McDonald and Durdin.

That's a fair assumption, but that's not what I wrote. If we keep Durdin, McAsey is just the younger model, in fact he's slower and less explosive than Sam was at the same age.

goreds, I really hope you're wrong about that.

I would take McAsey FWI. Great height and might just need to come back to Vic...

Crows player thread on McAsey makes interesting reading. One mod is keen for the club to continue to develop him, most of the other contributors are very negative.

Example:
Here are the most recent top 6 picks to have played as few games as Fischer (10) in their first 3 years

Aaron Francis (10)
Jarrod Pickett (10)
Matt Scharenberg (4)
Mitch Thorp (2)
Scott Gumbleton (5)
Beau Dowler (3)
Tim Walsh (1)

I went as far back as the 2000 draft

Of note, is that he hasn't been playing in defence for last half of this year, has been playing key forward.

The young fella played those games in his first year. Was quite impressive for a rookie KPP. Have to believe plenty is happening off field for him to stagnate. May be as simple as homesickness. No problem if we do the homework and go this way.

As long as we've done the homework...

Does Kennedy's lisfranc change our forward planning? Setterfield is the deserving frontrunner for his spot, but if he goes off with the fairies again it could be the break Dow or Stocker need to establish themselves in the midfield group
