But you haven't put forward any information. It just sounds like your opinion because you can't back it up with a factual source.
If he had a factual source he'd be on Fox Footy right now. What he is saying is plausible albeit you can take it with a grain of salt. Dan was not worth what he is worth now considering his stock has risen over the years. Port are probably in the box seat to keep him but if a club is willing to give up a lot then the club would be silly not to consider the offer.

Also, his management is the one playing hardball. This is actually good for Dan and to some degree the club. It allows both parties to assess his value on the market, and could give us an opportunity such as a gamble on getting a player that could be a superstar or finally fill the key defender position.

Unfortunately this is the nature of the industry and good clubs stay good by making good decisions.

Hilarious these guys who have no sympathy and say Houston should honour the contract. I bet these guys who moan like **** if they were being paid 10k less than what they are worth, but expect Houston to lose hundreds of thousand dollars per season.
Spare thought for Scotty Pippen

Should ask for a new manager then if he didnt have a tpi clause

Majority of Port's players should ask for a new manager then.

It's one of the reasons why Crippa is so good at managing the cap.

I have no intel. Just an opinion. Linked with 3 clubs already tells me he ain't staying.
PowerLil I don't know this but I'd say it could be the opposite. If there was just one club he was linked to, then to me that is a much better indication that he is 100% going. This is his manager making the noise I'd say.

How is it that you know how much he's getting paid and what he should be getting paid but you don't know if he's leaving or who is interested?

History says where there smoke there’s fire, I’d be surprised if he’s staying. Honestly it’s a good time to flip, Farrell has come on, Evans developing nicely, Perryman joining, plus some floaters, off he goes.

If Houston is on severe unders, I'd hope the club has had conversations with his manager indicating that they are willing to restructure the deal. Doesn't sound like it though.

I'm guessing that the list mngt team has gotten addicted to the thought of the picks he will bring in, and are secretly happy that he wants out...

Personally I don't believe there is "smoke" or "fire".. I just think it's Personal reasons for Houston that has made him ask the question. My belief is his partner who I believe is Victorian? So I think he's just put the question out there and asked Port prior which has then led to his manager asking the question of Victorian clubs and unfortunately one club has leaked that information in the process. I dare say, I feel that Dan would prefer to stay with the club but sometimes other things occur.

That's why it's a matter of, offer a good deal for Houston or he stays and he's ok with that

I think Rowe has said they have him, along with the other 457623 SA players who want to come home, Thebby is the place to be.

He is demented. All he had left was Showdown wins and we even took that away from him.

I don't believe that it is set in stone he's leaving. That is my opinion.

The media have linked him to Melbourne, Carlton and St Kilda.

He has since said that he does not want to go to Melbourne.

I don't see how he gets to Carlton because they have a tight salary cap and are bringing in Haynes from GSW on decent coin I suspect and are sniffing around Petracca for what that's worth.

So that leaves St Kilda.

Whether he's going or not is dependent on whether another team are able to and are prepared to give what Port want in the trade deal.

If I'm St Kilda in their position I am not wanting to give up 2 years of first round picks. Which means that there is a deadlock.

Nobody knows what will happen in the future.

Love to know your sources that show Houston as under paid?

Haven't seen any report that has showed he's under paid and I'm pretty confident that Port would definitely offer him a revitalised contract if it were the case
He signed his last contract before becoming what should be a dual All Australian.

Its pretty well guaranteed that he's not being paid at the level of the best rated general defender in the AFL.
