Was thinking of coming back to BF when Hinkley was sacked if Tredders delivered in the next couple of weeks

Now with Houston possibly being traded to North I don't think I can deal with their supporters after JHF

Watch out for late first at best!@!@!
For a week and a half
North to cave and cough up something closer to two picks equaling less than 35-40

And then they claim that's what they wanted all along and go missing

Reading the crows board they rate cumming highly and are basically obsessed with him, and are saying how dissapointed and pissed of they will be if port land him.

Us port fans would like to get him, but we don’t see it as a massive deal, it would be really funny to beat the crows in a recruitment persuasion once again.

I would be so tempted to rub it into the clowns on their board and cop the ban on the chin.
And if he nominates us, they’ll apparently have never rated him at all.

The hypothetical situation where we land Lukosius (Crows supporter growing up), Cumming (Ted Broken Hill connection) plus Perryman would be pretty annoying to the Crows, but quite hilarious from a Port perspective. I know it's the wrong thing to celebrate hypotheticals, but I'd enjoy that nearly as much as Hinkley getting sacked.

Surely if we have spent 4 years balls deep into Perryman he doesn't go to the Pies at the last minute?

Really hope Houston's nominates North knowing we can do a good deal with them. Aim for pick 2 - if there's ever a draft where its more attainable its this one due to the evenness of the first round. That would get us one of Draper/Langford.

B: BZT - Bergman - Jones
HB: Farrell - Aliir - Perryman
C: Burgoyne - Wines - Rozee
HF: Horne-Francis - Marshall/Finlayson - Lukosius
F: DBJ - Georgiades - Rioli
R: Sweet - Butters - Drew
I: Boak, Sinn, Powell-Pepper, Cumming, L. Evans

Not too shabby. You would hope that the first round picks Houston brings in will be used to draft winger and/or small forwards. Heck keeping Houston would make this a strong list.

Has to be tall forwards. Thats a priority. Marshall is a hit away from retirement and Finlayson/Lord are super unreliable. At some point we need to use a 1st round pick on a KPF talent.

I reckon Lord might still have it after a good pre season. The broken leg he had, might’ve taken a bit to properly heal and for him to get fit and confident. It’s also bloody hard to develop as a forward in the SANFL, when you get smashed.

Would rather spend 1 million a season on Cummings and Richards than 850-900k on Perryman. So hoping Collingwood get Perryman meaning we might get Richards. And the fact GWS offered Cumming more years then Perryman has me keen on him. Hopefully a bit of luck with injuries and he take the wing spot from Boak.

Surely StKilda want Ryan Burton to replace Bonner

If we can bring in all our targets our best 23 could have these changes from our prelim team…

In: Perryman, Cumming, Lukosius, Richards, Farrell, SPP, Lord/Marshall
Out: Burton, Boak, Dixon, Evans, Narkle, Ratugolea, Mead

Huge upgrades
I think Boak will stay and Ratugolea will get picked ahead of Lord. Shouldn't even consider Marshall.

Surely not. Ratagolea I think was just persisted with because there had been limited form shown by Lord and our other injuries to Marshall and Finlayson. Ratagolea has gotta be moved back and that means he probably starts in the SANFL.

Yep he’s a depth KPD for me now, depth chart there probably looks like Aliir, BZT, Bergman then Rat, Walsh and then any of Clurey/McCallum/Marshall (Whoever is still at the club) and probably draft one.

Couple options i think we might look at for lukocious, if hypothetically we get a future 2nd pick from saints for Soldo we could pair both future 2nds to send to gold coast as it would be similar points as our likely future 1st.
I think we need to keep that future 1st as gives us more flexibility.

If Gold coast really want the future 1st getting back there pick 26 this year would give us a good potential draft hand

Also wouldnt suprise if Cripps gets a few clubs involved as he seems to be good at finiding outside the box options in trades like he did for Hornet

I mean the absolute dream is that Lord/Scully have a big pre-season and develop to the point where they can consistently perform at AFL level. That's a fair long shot though, and I just can't see us going in to 2025 without some big body to impact contests, so am resigning myself to watch Sav up forward again next year.

Getting at least one of these free agents makes a pretty big difference considering our lack of picks (and need to hit the draft early at the next opportunity).

Getting them both from an expansion team in a single season would be a move normally reserved for Geelong or a big 4 MCG tenant.
