I'm going to say it. I'd rather Lloyd Meek then Jackson as a actual player. No offense to Jackson intended. Meek is just a very very good player. Best player not playing regular 22 in the league this year by some margin. A reason 6 clubs want him. I fully expect GWS to get Meek, Freo to get Jackson and Meek to have the better season in all stat categories.

Best thing Melbourne could hope for is a player from Fremantle becomes involved like it did with Burton/Wingaard trade.

Demanding top 10 draft picks from a team that doesn't have them to offer is a waste of time.

I firmly believe Meek is a better ruck than Jackson. Jackson has more potential to play other parts of the ground better but if you're looking for a full time pure ruck Meek is the way to go. Also a lot cheaper.

Just because they don't currently have a top 10 draft pick, doesn't mean they won't be able to get one (if their motivation is there)

Without trading a good player, it is pretty difficult to get into the top 10, especially when Melbourne will want a second 1st round pick as well.

Maybe the Bulldogs lose their minds and offer their first pick for Lobb and they can then pair that up with something.
