You must be one of the only Eagles fans on here who has some common sense. He is going to Freo, no doubt. And regardless of how badly the dealings broke down he isn’t going to the PSD.

Name a player who has gone to PSD and not ended up where they wanted to go anyway. Would simple say to the other clubs I’m not coming so don’t bother

Of the minuscule number of required players that have gone to the PSD, two of the handful of players who haven’t gone to their destination are John McCarthy and the OG Nick Stevens. Jack Martin earned a mil in his first year to get to Carlton though, so maybe Freo could pay him 4m up front and $1 a year for the next 4 to get WCE to stay away.

You have rocks in your head if you think West Coast would let him slide to Freo for free.

I get it’s an exciting time that a great players has nominated Freo, but they’ll deal with the usual fairness and a decent deal will get done.

The kid is out of contract and has already moved back to Perth. He was photographed out with Sean Darcy and a few others last night. He’s 100% going to freo so Melbourne have not got much leverage.
It will be 13 & F1 for jackson and 32. Maybe 41 instead of 32. But that’s a good deal for the Dees, a very good deal for a out of contract player.

Is he worth more than Tim Kelly? He was an AA inside midfielder at the time he left, aged 24 or so.
No top 10 pick was involved in that trade as eagles didn’t have one

His actual ruck stats are underwhelming.

Darcy is a reasonable forward presence so if he could rest up forward and let Jackson pinch hit.

I'm going to say it. I'd rather Lloyd Meek then Jackson as a actual player. No offense to Jackson intended. Meek is just a very very good player. Best player not playing regular 22 in the league this year by some margin. A reason 6 clubs want him. I fully expect GWS to get Meek, Freo to get Jackson and Meek to have the better season in all stat categories.

I love me some Lord Meek but for all the wholehearted positive intent he can bring to a team he is amazingly somehow slipping into overrated territory

They are pretty similar types of players actually but no way Big Lloyd is in Jackson’s class as an athlete
